How does one see God?

Well, you can't experience God through the senses, because that involves energy, and you really have to go beyond energy for that divinity. This is what is referred to as enlightenment and anyone can do it if your intent is sincere. Eyes can't show you this dimension, so you have to go in, and meditate, shunning all form, color and movement (energy). The mind has to be silent and still for this to happen, because the mind is foreign to our natural state. A decoy free meditation is the only way to cut off the show completely, without any mental support. It has to be pursued continuously during all of your spare time, and it isn't easy. It took me many years (25) to intellectually understand it, and about three years of serious around the clock contemplation and meditation, in order to see God. If you're persistent, you will prevail, provided you understand the guide lines. Rituals and scripture are not enough and barely scratches the surface when your dedicated to the path. Enlightenment has to be your only desire, rendering the world powerless during your pursuit. After enough time it makes one ripe for surrendering, and when you give in to it, let go, and see for yourself, then you are rendered empty, yet completely full. You see the Almighty in this pure, still, space, and you can see clearly to the end of it, despite its dark or dim nature, and you are at home with God. Not needing anything, or anybody, you are complete, and with the search over you are content in knowing the truth. You finally gain the upper ground with the mind, ego and life. The suffering ends and an internal happiness prevails, which I like to call contentment.
