Contemplation
The art of contemplation is sticking to one primary subject, which occupies your mind continuously until the problem is solved. Just enough attention is given to the daily chores and job to be responsible and productive. The rest of the thought attention is dedicated to the problem, which in this case is being spiritually productive. It is like a riddle that needs your attention and attracts all your spare thinking time. Contemplating holds up the railings that keeps you on your spiritual path, and by keeping you from veering off, the spiritual momentum builds. The one track mind is essential in your life by allowing you to solve life’s problems, and it enhances the power of concentration. By continually returning to the same thought pattern you gain more control over the mind, because it gets stronger by the continual workout (change of direction) you give it. The contemplator should always look for quite out of the way places to spend time at thoughtless meditation. This helps in solving the issues by the way of epiphanies, which gives you the answer from out of the blue. Working on the heavy weights (meditation), and the cardio (contemplation) the mental strength grows, and the mind is slowly being conquered, reprogrammed for success. Superimposing another belief system that leads to a virtues lifestyle is spirituality, but it happens naturally as a byproduct of the path. A spiritual maturity that gets better with age, blossoms and doesn’t fade with time, is the reward. There is a wide variety of spiritual thoughts, philosophies, and scripture one can partake in, and they can all work provided it‘s directed towards the truth, by using pure reasoning, an open mind and due diligence. And there are a lot of non-scripture questions like: Who am I if I am not this? How could I be this when this is changing all the time. Which one of these identities am I going to die with, the child? The kid? The adult? The old man? And if I really don’t want any of them, what Am I then? The serious spiritual seeker is always looking for answers and refuses to latch onto old spiritual myths, because they are illogical, and they stagnate the process, which has to keep evolving to work. The contemplator enjoys figuring out riddles and problems for himself, and doesn’t need to communicate it to another. Critical thinking is their motto by dissecting everything that comes their way, only accepting proven facts that they can verify. Their intellect is keen and with good filters in place, the personal and impersonal delusions of life are naturally filtered out of the equation. Everyone can short term contemplate, but the serious contemplator is relentless, distant and quite. He will do especially well on the path of the Soul searcher.
