The Void

This realm which we call Eternity, God, Absolute Space, Heaven, Awareness, Perfection, or The Almighty is our Soul’s eternal home. The Soul sits here in this realm, void of attributes, permanently still, Aware and observing, either the Almighty’s Light of Awareness, or the body and universe. In the Void the Light from Awareness coexists with the original Eternal Darkness, which permeates in and around it. The Light in this realm is unusually still and soft, and the Light doesn’t spread or travel like normal light does to dispel the Darkness, however it does light up this realm just enough for a dim but clear view. We are both the black of Darkness and the white of Light at our core. Without the Darkness there would be no Eternity, and without the Light there would be no Awareness of being, or the universe as we know it. There would only be the Black stillness of Eternity and nothing else. The Light from an Awareness of being and pure existence gave birth to consciousness and everything as we know it, in a chain reaction of events. This formed the dimension of appearances telescopically over and around the original one.

The formless pure space of the Void is the starting point and finishing point for all things animate and inanimate, making it the ultimate purifier. The only colors that exist here are black and a gray/white with a
slight hint of deep dark blue, because the faint Light of Awareness producing shades between black and white. When you see the Void, it seems like you're placed directly in the middle of it, stationary as you see half of the entire sphere completely, and your panoramic, peripheral view sees it all evenly, through one point of perceiving in Absolute space, which is what we are. One very small piece of the pie, however each piece is as important as the next, and all pieces make up the one, which means one can’t exist without the other. Surprisingly enough this large focal point or view can be undilated to a smaller point, that focuses in on one area, or on one horizon of the Void, albeit large, but nonetheless a diversion of attention which was created by me. I found this out because, I wanted to stay and explore this realm, and having the moment I tried, but I was frozen in stillness. I was in the still awe of observation for a little while when a thought popped up about the Void: “Wow! This is truly attributeless.” That was amazing! I was so distant and removed from the body and mind, that I could second handedly witness my thoughts, as if they were coming down from another dimension taking time traveling the distance. It was like a messenger was forwarding the message to me along the way and I had to wait. The words started out with a slight echo as if in a chamber far, far away, and it seemed to travel down an invisible cord that ended as it drew near, and dissipated into silence after reaching the Void, but I could still sense them coming. It was so radically weird, I couldn’t resist, so I divert my attention up, to see if I could get a gander at my connection, the universe, or something, but when I did, I returned to the body and world. The whole transition to and from the Void was feeling less, movement less, silent, and quick. I didn’t move at all, however all sensory feelings with the whole universe just vanished from view, disappeared like a mirage, a dream. My guess is what happened to me, similarly happened to other teachers as well, and the extreme rarity of thinking while connected to the mind/body, and viewing the Heavens, probably ended their stay too. Your Soul is there, right now, as you are here right now, but your point of perceiving now lies or is reflected in consciousness (energy) witnessing the world of appearances.

If you weren’t perfectly still and pure at the core of your Awareness, you wouldn’t be able to perceive subtle movements, discontinuity of the mind, and Eternity. The Void is a grand empty universe of space that remains indestructible, pure and perfect, an unchangeable realm of eternal Awareness, which produces the universe of life by existing as it is. It is, as it is, and to see it, is to except it and be it, as it is, which means to surrender all that it isn’t. Although the universe is considered a product of it, or an expression of it, or a reflection of it, however it’s a false representation nonetheless. Only one dimension can be the true Reality, and the other is a completely different mutating dimension dealing with changing appearances and moving parts. The false deceives when it compels and with all its imperfections we cling to it, despite the fact it's not Eternal. Encompassed by humanity, nature, and energy our Soul naturally identifies with what it sees and senses, because in the realm of Eternity, you are what you see, but not here. What you see here is the maximized potential of a wayward child called energy, and once it emerged, time and space emerged, and imperfection exploded into matter, while Perfection, the patient parent waits in silent repose. Nothing can be more sublime then actualizing your being and seeing Absolute space, it is the ultimate and the last important experience. All other time bound experiences are rendered obsolete at once after uncovering Absolute proof, contentment and security reign supreme from knowing the Truth and you naturally live accordingly.

    Hi Kurt,

You "know" me from Intent Blog

From the way you described this void I got the impression that I have been unconciously painting it during the painting course I have followed.

I was confirmed in this impression because Harbhajan Singh, writer of Self Designed Universe, thought it a very interesting picture.

I don't know. Perhaps you want to have a look at it. It can be viewed at my website in the Dutch entry:
    http://www.heartphone.org/schilderscursus.htm

But if you like I could send you a digital picture of it.

It hangs in my home in the kitchen and the more I look at it the more intrigueing it becomes

    Love,

      Hi Mieke,

      Nice hearing from you!

I see what you mean by the darkness in the fourth picture. I was thinking at some time investing in someone who can make a three dimensional computer image of the Void. Maybe you can play with the idea. I was thinking a painting would be to hard to capture the three dimensional feel to a universe of empty space, and the Light seems like it would work better pixiled with black all through it. Similar to the fading from black to brown in your picture, and the dark feel, but consistent black and grey/white through out.

      Your blogging buddy,

      Kurt

    Hi Kurt,

Thanks for having a look. I just wanted to share my painting with you because you described the void in such a way that it rang a bell with me.

I do make 3D virtual worlds for myself, but I am just an amateur, discovering her possibilities . I am not a professional 3D artist.

Things I make, just spontaneously come into being from that void, so I think I could never create something you would like professionally.

Just wanted to share my feelings.

Anyway, thanks a lot for giving me the opportunity for playing with another idea. And who knows perhaps something does evolve.

If so, i will certainly let you know.

    Love,

    Mieke

    Hi Kurt,

Would like to share two links on the Internet with you, one about the Void and one about a 3D map Nasa is trying to construct of the Universe after the big bang:

Happened to come across them today. Very interesting stuff to read

    Kurt,

Thankyou for these explanations. I have always wanter to know and it makes sense.

Does experiencing the void remove all desires ? Though it seems possible, I cannot imagine living without desires.

One of the first things I recognized in me after realization was this desire less feeling. It was so subtlety done like someone with the slight of hand just ripped out the rug from under my desires and now they were all useless bones to me. The doer died, that ego that wants all the time, wasn’t needed anymore or better yet wasn’t real to begin with. Everything you thought which was important to you before hand, had just vanished like it was a magic trick, a cosmic joke, and you were totally fooled, but not anymore. The joke is over, I see through the smoke and mirrors and I will never identify with this illusion again, having seen behind the show.

You still have the desire to survive in the world and to have creature comforts that make life a little easier, but still there is that detachment that lies behind the scene.

I'm glad it's starting to make sense to you and it should fit within pure reasoning if you stay open to it.

Actually I used to read on spirituality with interest but was not able to 'get' the things I read until I started meditating. I think meditation made me be still enough to comprehend what I read much better.

Your elaborate explanation here has been invaluable. Especially the 3D, 2D, and 1D nature of our self is still making me put it in perspective, apart from amazing me that these concepts one only reads about are actually verifiable by experience. I understand it is a very natural and simple thing in the end but ever so elusive for the unenlightened.

Yes, by the same diligent and delicate process you can. But at the same time you loose your reason to do it again because once is enough:o)

It is through practicing yoga where you train your mind to be still by concentrating on a particular thing like a lighted lamp in the center of your forehead (in the beginning you will not be able to do it even for a second!!) but through practice and patience you will be able to control your mind and thoughts and you will be able to succeed to keep the lighted lamp there up to even an hour!! Once you reach this, you reach that stage where your body is in void! This is the stage where you can “move” your soul out of your body and be in a void!!
