Eternity + Awareness = God

In Eternal darkness Awareness dawns and that Awareness brings a subtle Light to the vast region of darkness. Now Light and Darkness coexist in this empty expanse, which we call Eternity or God. "Awareness is the latent potential of Eternity" (Vethathiri Maharishi), having the same eternal properties it expresses itself with a Still Eternal Light. It is a formless and imageless space that didn’t really change, however the new dim light of Awareness does make this eternal region visible and aware, so something did happen.

This Eternal Awareness before anything else is without manifestation, energy or attributes of any kind, but there are repercussions when something like Awareness develops out of nothing, because that set off a chain reaction from within. Creating another dimension of movement and energy, this is superimposed over and on the outside of the only pure Reality. Eternity being timeless has no properties for evolution, growth or decay, so it’s spared all the imperfections that come with time and energy. Both dimensions are invisible to each other and Eternity is unaffected, because this 2nd dimension is made up of its own properties and on a less subtle level, which is moving and naturally evolving. Eternity can only see and be that which is eternally pure and without fleeting properties, so it’s like a vacuum that keeps everything on the outside of it. But, the word ‘outside’ here is used differently due to the infinite properties and really nothing can be on the outside of infinity, so it advances from within ascending to grosser levels.

Time and light on a particle level starts evolving in this new realm, and these two qualities are expressed in infinite measures when relating to any new dimension and Light and Awareness starts forming the basic properties of energy and consciousness. This is a matterless dimension; however when things are moving and creating it forces this 2nd dimension to peak, and that in turn gives birth to the 3rd dimension of manifestation.

Again, another dimension starts forming when the particles start colliding and bonding, and this 3rd dimension is developing over the 2nd, in the same manner the 2nd is covering over the first dimension. All the dimensions are telescopically connected, and all are in need of the other in order to exist, and all formed naturally and not purposely. The only way to experience each dimension is through our telescopic connection, which links the dimensions and everything inside of them to this Eternal realm. No rights are denied, because access to and from is always there and available, however we unwittingly hang on to each dimension we’re in and deny our Soul that access or realization.

Three dimensions starting from the Stillness of Eternity to the subtle energy that makes up the 2nd dimension, and then onto the gross particles that make up the universe. Everything takes care of itself, because the cycle developed naturally and anchored in perfection gives it an Absolute foundation that supports everything. There’s no need for any being to intervene for it would upset the natural balance, and besides that no one looses anything and no Soul really suffers or is lost, and it all runs perfectly well and fair. Just the body and mind suffer and they’re riddled with imperfections anyways and must be discarded. When you’ve had enough you will voluntarily retract you’re vision through the connection. It’s just your perspective that was rearranged, and that which you think you’re losing was on loan anyways, and you should do your duty and willingly surrender it.

The collective source of everything in one solid unchangeable unit is our eternal Home, and what name people give it shouldn’t matter as long as we don’t humanize it. We are but a fraction of the eternal whole, but each fraction makes up the whole thus making you an intricate part of God. You are not human and nether is God. You are a fraction of Eternity that mistakenly identifies with time, and this mistake is what creates so much turmoil in you and the world. Your formless, aware and still Soul has always been and always will be eternally pure and sitting in the dimension of God. However, for the time being your Awareness and/or vision is tied up in your connection to the other two dimensions of time. Enlightenment and Self-realization is to break free from those dimensional limitations in order to see the real state of affairs, which is your true nature, your true home, and what is meant by the word God.

Death and the Afterlife

After my own Self-realization and with the past help from my teacher Vethathiri, I was able to formulate a theory on the Afterlife, or the zone in-between here and Eternity. The most I can do now is tell you how very certain I am about this theory, and if correct this essay will be one of the most important articles you’ll read, for it will be indispensable to all who read it.

The Afterlife is a transitioning zone under the influence of time, however time here is different. The ethereal nature of this environment lends itself to time very slowly, and light on a subtle level is the very catalyst that propels this realm. This transition zone is a very important step in ones journey where you undiscover the discovered domain of manifestation within another dimension, a sort of dialing down of energy, ego and images, until you see what’s behind them. This 2nd dimension of time is very similar to the dream state you experience every night, and essentially it’s the realm of the mind. This is a personal world of your life, and your ultimate goal is to get past it in order to uncover the other side, which is your Eternal Home, or the only lasting reality that doesn’t perish. It’s largely based on your ability to differentiate and understand your real Self or Soul in the light of appearances. Your Afterlife is held together by a group of particles and their ability to hang together for a very long time creates a lifespan that can continue for many centuries.

This realm is a self-governed environment that works without any outside influences and its totally self produced, directed and written by you, for you, so it has to be dismantled by you. If you wait for time in order to slowly dissolve the show you’re asking for a lot of unusual and repetitive drama, however you can dismantle the particles from the inside out. Time based particles stick together through a magnetic charge of positive and negative ions and your life is what charged it up, but now your attention keeps it going. And, if you follow that lead you’ll be bouncing around between desires (+) and fears (-) in a seemingly endless and uncontrollable circle. Remaining neutral by retracting your attention (the act of meditation) will stop feeding the images, and your persistence at this task will stop the show altogether. The withdrawal of attention causes the particles to break up for the lack of direction and attraction, and it also depletes the resource of energy and light.

The Afterlife is a necessary stop, because you can’t take this identity with you, and your identity to this mind and body manifests fears and desires that’ll play out, which you put together and now validate their existence. Eternity doesn’t have images, emotions, issues or imbalance of any kind and your eternal Soul reflects that, but it’s still connected to a new identity and a world it won’t let go of. You have to voluntarily restore your pure eternal identity by rejecting your new one, so your eternal identity is unveiled after you let go of the new one. Your identity and attention placed in appearances through the course of a lifetime has now given you an ingrain habit, and that’s the spell that needs to be broken. Your compelled to participate and your attention focused in and on the images is exactly what keeps the Afterlife alive and well.

The diversion of your attention is the only power you have here, and if your attention is focused outside of your Self then another avenue of life experiences will open up. All of your data is stored within a group of energy particles that are drawn together in a small sphere, like memory chips within a plasma TV, and your stuck right in front it with your attention playing the role of the computer mouse triggering memories. Unable to control much of anything it will seem hopeless and endless until you start retracting your vision through meditation. You’re essentially looking away and thereby not identifying with what you see.

The retraction of attention away from the drama and back onto the Soul is your only recourse and in essence this is called meditation. You must understand that meditation is a very important spiritual ritual, and if you are doing it now as a habit it will benefit you here and in the Afterlife.

This personal world of yours is for you only so it has to be relinquished by you, because it stands in the way of your eternal harmony. All of your life’s habits will be part of the show, and although you will be freed from pain, hunger, thirst, work, responsibilities and so on, the mental idea of it will still plague your every move, because it’s a deeply imprinted mind pattern. You need not work or eat anymore for survival, but the habitual idea of it will compel you to continue. It all has to be surrendered, because your little world is a product of manifestation and any time based product will have a limited shelf life. Things that change or evolve don’t have the right properties to exist in Eternity. Eternity has always been a changeless and formless space, for it has to be in order to be eternal and anything that has to do with time must be forfeited.

Identifying with appearances is the root of all suffering.

This will glue you to this 2d realm for a very long time until you continually withdraw your attention from the images, thus refusing its validity and importance, because the next step will have to be free of all dispositions. When you have nothing then nothing allows you entry into everything, because Eternity is everything at the source, which is God and the only identity you can keep. The finale dimension of One is ground zero of the ultimate unity, where all attributes are cast aside and you remain as One in the belly of God, which is beyond all opposites and disharmony of any kind.

Those who did serious spiritual research aligned with critical introspection will advance out quicker. Those who had a long and complete life and those who had a rough life will detach quicker, even those with lucid dreaming qualities will graduate faster, if they know what to do.

It all depends on you and your ability to cast off all habits, desires and fears, or anything that keeps you connected to the Afterlife, because your interest in the scene is getting in the way of your complete unity with God.

The Feeling of Unity

That certain feeling of oneness, which is described by many as unity consciousness is a wonderful moment in the expansion of consciousness. A lovely feeling of unity that is felt through the subtle waves of consciousness, which takes place when the individual suddenly and without warning moves aside causes their internal perceiving point to retract into subtler waves of energy. This is usually an important event in many people’s lives, that will leave them thirsting for more. This consciousness unity can lead many down the spiritual path and it’s indispensable for that reason, and it can happen in natural or unnatural situations, however it should not to be confused with Self-realization or Eternity, because of the feeling aspect.

This feeling of unity can be attained in many different ways and although it may change your outlook it simply doesn’t have a lasting effect, but the thought of it will, and it should inspire you to continue on to higher levels of spiritualism. Unfortunately some get complacent and some look for notoriety before its time, and this will stagnate any further growth. Some find this place unnaturally and try to replicate the conditions and some teeter on thin lines falling into it, but both of these conditions are usually very misleading.

Any number of things can bring about this unity feeling naturally or forced and sometimes an event induces it, such as: a traumatic experience, a near death experience or drugs, however the trigger mechanism reflects the conditions making every situation different. The natural way through Religion and Spirituality is the best way to attain this heightened state of free-floating awareness, and the results here should propel you on to deeper states, if you continue your pursuit.

The Evangelist’s are waving arms trying to feel that unity, the Catholics are reciting scripture and prayers, the spiritual groups are reciting mantras and meditating, the fringe groups are using sleep and food deprivation as a tool, and the chemist is doing powerful drugs in order to recapture it, however most are looking within the confines of matter and energy. Looking everywhere and doing anything for that feeling, but that feeling can only be temporary and never repeated in the same manner, because feelings are very convoluted. Anything that’s based in energy and matter such as feelings are so complex they’re usually a one-hit-wonder and that’s helpful, but at the same time a curse for some. Because the seeker will try to recapture it in any form they can, for they believe that this is ‘it’ and they know how to find it, thus pushing them in the wrong direction.

The natural way is somewhat similar to the unnatural way in this regard, because trying to duplicate the same conditions as before is impossible, and this is the reason why the present moment is ever fresh and ever new. However, there is a stark difference between the two that needs to be pointed out and that’s the danger factor, one is safe and the other is a life threatening stumble in the dark with a possibility of no return.

The natural way propels you further while the unnatural way has the tendency to mislead.

I have fallen for both ways and found that feeling of unity in drugs and naturally through meditation, but I didn’t stop there, because my mentor urged me to let go and continue. We need to heed the advice from those who walked before us and trust in their ability to guide without letting our ego in to inflate or deflate the situation.

The real experience of Self-realization is totally contrasting to feelings of any type and forms of any type and that will be Self evident when Self-realization happens to you.

Eternity is permanence at the source and only the Self can experience this eternal realm, because energy consciousness is oscillating waves breeding interim opposites, which have a short shelf life and energy consciousness allows you the ability to perceive these opposites in action. Pure Awareness or Pure Consciousness at the source is beyond all of these new attributes provided by energy consciousness, but nonetheless the two are still related. Pure Consciousness is still, and moving energy consciousness evolves out of that Stillness giving birth to new qualities, including the mind. The sacred feeling of unity through the unbiased universal consciousness is a purer source of energy consciousness that is subtler, identity-less and free flowing.

Sayings on Self-Realization

Life is everything you thought you wanted, everything you thought you needed, and everything you thought you were, then suddenly it’s all stripped away when you see God.

Your identity, God’s identity, and the identity of the universe is then rightfully returned to its original position within you.

Only one answer is needed, only one answer is worth the effort, and only one answer is worthy of the universal question, and the answer reveals Eternity within you.

Seeing is believing therefore believing is having faith in being and action towards seeing is believing in oneself.

The perfect and pure Self sees the imperfect world with the impure mind and identifies with what it sees, and firsthand realization of this mistake is Enlightenment.

Caught up in a nonstop flow of opposites we unwittingly downgrade our perception of Reality and fabricate a time limited identity.

Truth is not anything that evolves for a changing truth was false, and that which doesn’t begin from false is the timeless truth.

Self-realization delivers contentment when Eternity bankrupts time.

Detachment from time is meditation at its purest level, so any meditation that has time related byproducts in it is still attached to time, and grounded by impurities.

Its time to suffer when time is your only belief.

Self-realization is the only real power we have over manifestation.

Eternal at our Source we are a piece of God, but seemingly rendered powerless to control much of anything until Self-realization, which changes your identity and outlook.

Looking everywhere and finding nothing the aspirant looks within and finds everything in nothing.

Being at home in the world will never happen, but being at home within the body can.

Seemingly lost and searching the restless Spirit doesn’t find solace in anything until it uncovers Eternity, and that discovery finds solace in being.

Meditation is searching for stability in an unstable environment, and the stable part is found when the unstable part realizes its limitations.

There is only one egoless moment, only one present moment, only one bodiless moment, and only one mindless moment, which is authentic to being, and that moment is called Self-realization.

The Spiritualist or Realized Spiritual Teacher

This enlightened instructor will guide anyone in their spiritual development regardless of past transgressions and religious ideologies. All that is needed on the student’s part is a willingness to learn accompanied with earnestness to put into practice, so trust and faith is a big part of that connection. The Spiritualist will offer the best guidelines and usually stay away from religious dogmas and religions, and they won’t hold anyone to strict spiritual requirements regarding austerities and abstinence, just moderation and evaluation.

They will talk about the truth, God, Self, Soul or Eternity as the central core where all paths lead, and emphasize due diligence at eroding personal but common blocks that obstruct the aspirant’s finale transition into Eternity. The problem has a very common and recognizable root system in manifestation, and the teacher has worked through the situation thus understands the issue, but always working towards Eternity they will disregard the situation and may treat it as frivolous.

Because, in the opposite direction of Eternity lies a myriad of personal ideologies, accolades and issues (attachments) that the aspirant has to move beyond with guidance from the Spiritualist. The teacher can’t force the student to do anything if the student isn’t willing to do so for their self. The priceless information raised in teaching will be understandable by those who are willing to apply themselves in research, introspection and meditation. Earnestness towards that creates the internal surrendering that is needed, and that in turn causes attachments to fall away natural, however if the seeker isn’t sincere then the words will wait patiently for the right moment to trigger them.

The ego is a hard wall to fight against, but the spiritualist doesn’t waver for this is a very common theme and at some point even the most harden and resistant people will verify their words from within the Self. Therefore nothing is lost and everything is eventually found, so the instructor patiently understands that it will always help, but usually in the future. Very few will be able to respond and verify their words during their lifetime, however it doesn’t matter for the words once read or heard will be verified.

The process or journey that leads up to this spiritual understanding is different for everyone as well as the way one teaches spirituality after Realization, however the act of surrendering and Self-realization is the same for all seekers when their seeking comes to a close. Their journey over they unite and see their unity in the Almighty, and although this primordial enigmatic experience is the same for everyone there can be attributable effects on the body, which will be determined by genetics or predispositions. And, the instructor’s unique way of teaching will vary depending on their background and circumstances.

The mind reaching its limit and the Self loosing its, the finale outcome of Enlightenment is identical for everyone when their identity inverts back into Eternity.

This identity altering event is on the mind, and the mind will express this in many different ways and may show signs of contradiction, but words that are depending on circumstances and taken out of context will get obscured. The whole gamut of expressions is open for hijacking in order to make a point, and since that point is relatively unknown the words get tangled up in concepts and misunderstood.

Only time and hindsight seems to validate these lasting words of the teacher, and with help from the truly intuitive people will bring the words into the forefront of spirituality. The instructor will find some serious seekers along the way and have some success in helping, but most people are knee deep in preserving the mind and guarding its present ideas and concepts as their primary identity. Not many are willing to pursue Self-realization in the face of life’s adversity, even though just the act of pursuing it will soften life’s pitfalls and smooth out the ride.

Most of the spiritualist’s words will have to wait just below the surface for the right moment when the aspirant is ready, or when desperation causes them to reevaluate.

The spiritualist will always continue to the last breath, because they know beyond any doubt that what they speak is the truth and they are the best person for this position, and they also know their words will not fail, but continue to resonate in all who read them.

The Mind and Knowing

Knowing is an Eternal characteristic of Awareness (God, Soul, Self), and the mind its temporary functioning processor.

There seems to be a stable link between the mind and Knowing while embodied, however this personal link has a limited shelf life and will severe eventually. This link to the mind first sprouted out of the foundation of Knowing and with the help from life, another form of knowing appears as the Self. This new type of knowing appears within the eternal knowing of God, which adds to knowing when the autonomous Self emerges.

The big question is; does the added attribute of knowing life intimately stay indefinitely in all Knowing?

If it doesn’t, then the idea of knowing life is a fading concept that doesn’t last in the Eternal realm and life is forgotten altogether, because the universe isn’t perceivable in Eternity, consequently making rebirth necessary. Then becoming another is a fundamental need that doesn’t add to the equity of knowing, thus making the link between the mind and knowing a very important, repetitive, and necessary evil for the Self. However, when it is a fading concept, then the notion of an all knowing God doesn’t exist or last, which ultimately means that something is lacking in Eternity or God and its not all knowing, just unaware space, but it isn’t, for then there wouldn’t be consciousness, or entities that are aware of their Self and God.

If it does remain, then rebirth isn’t necessary and you take an all knowing understanding with you always unless rebirth is chosen, which resets the initiative through a new mind set. This new mind takes precedence over knowing when it’s interested in becoming, and the added concepts throws the old Knower of Eternity or the Self back into a latent treasure waiting for Self-discovery.

Still, the added understanding of life brings in a new facet of knowing, but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything was lacking to begin with, despite it being new, because an all knowing God knows it, but we don’t, so it’s new to the Self. Birth reigns in a new Soul and its a sliver of the original source, so its a God giving God exchange for life to flourish and for the development of Souls with Self-governing action.

When you recapture your Eternal identity all imperfections are naturally striped away leaving you in a pure state, however knowing that life is circulating out there and your involvement with it will go on as your independent (if you please) Self. Eternity was there long before the universe developed into life, and although Awareness spawned conscious energy its unperceivable in Eternal Stillness. Eternity is in it’s most complete and purest state possible leaving it changeless and Still, and knowing at the core of Awareness is an aspect of that eternal Stillness, for knowing doesn’t need movement nor the mind.

Knowing doesn’t need movement when the holder knows it, but it takes movement to download it.

When you see fire do you have to keep telling yourself it’s hot? Water wet? Sugar sweet?

No, you just know it, and it’s just like that, it’s the movement of the mind that takes things too far and backfires.

In fact, the imperfect mind will always be its own roadblock to the satisfied mind, but the Self always satisfied is a treasure for all, and unveiled breeds a satisfied mind.

The mind and universe in tandem with the Soul provides all the information needed, and in knowing this you no longer need the mind or universe again, but you’ll know its properties.

You cannot know this universe, world, life, body or mind without the intimate link you now enjoy with it. It’s an indispensable experience that adds to knowing and gives meaning to life and the Self, and by knowing the difference you exist as the all knowing Self. This alone is the meaning of life by attaining the knowledge that can only be had through the mind and body, and by finding your way back to Eternity reveals all you need to know.

During the process of finding your Self or you becoming Aware of your true Self will give you the wisdom and meaning that the all knowing God wants for all.

The Soul or The Directed Aware Focal Point

The title of this piece tries to describe our Eternal nature in human words. Although seemingly limited when compared to the temporary attributes we enjoy today, the eternal attribute of Awareness with directed vision trumps anything that comes after this, because of its sustainability and stability.

An Aware focal point that can be directed by our attention is the nature of the Soul, and it leads to embodiment when directed away, which means toward the universe. This focal point can see Eternity clearly when unattached, but when attached it will identify with the world and body it’s attached too.

Unattached it has perfect vision and understanding of Eternity and God, attached it has an impure vision of reality, which results in an impure understanding of Reality.

The Soul’s focal point can narrow and expand, and be directed by the Self, so this implies some control over ones destiny thus allowing a Self-determining action, even in the Eternal state of Being.

To be embodied or not to be?

To be Eternally home and in full order of harmony and peace never to feel pain, fear and conflicting emotions again, or enter the universe and be vulnerable to all that life has to offer.

A question that is never posed and an answer that has to be experienced to know the difference.

Stay in the company of the Devine or turn away and roll the dice, it’s the ultimate decision, and one that you have chosen.

All it takes is the focus of Awareness back onto itself and away from Eternity and you’re manifested.

Now manifested with a body you can still withdraw your attention away as before, or your Awareness focused back onto itself, which is the art of meditation, and this is a representation of the eternal control you have, which allows you to change your environment. This shift in attention not only leads to Self-realization, but in Eternity it also leads to embodiment.

The directed Aware focal point is the catalyst to enlightenment and embodiment.

It is your only control. It is your Soul and your Awareness directed out that brings life to everything its directed at, or it can take it all away in an instant, as if to say; You have the power to dissolve the universe from view, because you are part of the whole that made it and through that process it naturally made the path to and from it. This path back home is the only path available to you and it must be voluntarily taken. Open to all regardless of the many different avenues which lead up to it, the path remains for only the solitary Soul to enter empty handed. You can’t take anything with you from here, including your mind and identity, so the path is only for the naked Soul. If you try to take anything more than that it will shake you down to your foundation and rock your inner world to the point of death, maybe you come back, and maybe you won’t, but ether way, no enlightenment.

Strip yourself of all mental attachments and wait naked in the dark surrendering everything to the cause, and know that the path is there, which will open the proverbial door to the Eternal realm, a pure state of Being, and your only true Home.

The Background

Everything in this particle universe is in motion and guided by the laws of attraction and repulsion, the Yen and Yang of duality, or the negative and positive influences of energy. Energy is at the heart of the manifested universe, and time our enemy since we identify with the attributes of energy, but time in every aspect is energy. A no win situation as we blindly sail on the wavy seas of energy and try to claim this changing motion as real property when its always on loan.

The human condition has a natural identity to energy; however this identity has a resistance to change and tries to anchor down, unwilling to keep pace with the changing curriculum of life it falls prey to the wavy seas.

Can anything made of energy last forever?

Show me something here that is lasting?

If our Soul is Eternal and nothing here is lasting then what do we identify with here?

The Background (Eternity), because that what you see is the foreground and anything made of energy is in the foreground, which is not you, so I can’t show you anything lasting, for then it wouldn’t be lasting.

The foreground can only show you the foreground, and it can’t take you beyond itself!

Nothing in the foreground can take you to the Background; only the Background can see and be the Background. You can play with the foreground in any conceivable way you want, but it won’t help, and it can’t liberate you, because the foreground has never been constant or real enough to do so. You can sweat, talk, cry, stretch, laugh, walk, starve, intoxicate, and drive nails into you hands, but physical austerities can’t help you spiritually. It’s completely impossible to experience God through the senses. You can even cheat death and come back to tell your story, however it’s all based in energy, using the same deck just dealing out different cards.

It’s the dealer that remains still while a transparent appendage (consciousness, energy) keeps shuffling the cards and randomly dealing them.

The same holds true for the players, they remain perfectly still as their own appendage extends their attention in observance of the cards and then playing them, which gives them the impression of movement and independence. Their attention fixed on the game the Stillness behind the senses isn’t noticeable until their attention voluntarily withdraws from the foreground and is refocused on the Background, causing Self-realization to dawn, and then you see and understand the dealer and players as they really are.

The dealer and players are both Eternal Entities and our real identity, however being connected somehow to the body by this invisible appendage throws our eternal attention into the energy mix creating confusion and a new fleeting identity.

The Background is beyond the apposing forces of time and space making it all powerful and all neutral. Indifferent to the game or casual universe, it’s unaffected by the impurities and imperfections of energy and time, the cause and effect forever gone makes this Realm forever pure and perfect. But, Pure and Perfect are now connected to their opposite and they are unknowingly downgraded to accommodate the circumstances.

At the core of all we are always perfect only our expression is imperfect.

When we identify with the cards its natural to think the dealer is a separate entity or independent God, and thus the external worshiping begins.

You need techniques that are focused on the Background (internal worshipping) to get rid of the impurities superimposed by the foreground. If you are focused on the foreground the Background reality won’t strip the foreground illusion of its validity. You have to work at sticking with the Background (meditation) as the only true reality or identity worth cultivating.

In spirituality today most paths are concerned about the foreground, trying to make it more palatable, and the techniques used are based on foreground activity or time related phenomenon. All thoughts and temporary identities are part of the foreground material, having birthed from energy and kept afloat by energy.

Indifferent, the Background is everywhere and everything lacking in nothing and holding everything together. The foreground being the playground of impurities and imperfections will never be anything different besides the constant state of change it is, which reflects a perpetual lack of control for all. But, the changeless Background is always there and always in control, being beyond the control of energy keeps it pure and all powerful.

Stick with meditation techniques that are formless, visualess, stretchless, movementless, soundless and thoughtless, as much as you can, if you are serious about Self-realization.

The Misplaced Identity

This seems to be the underlying issue in the world and universe, which propels us to think and act like independent and well defined separate individuals with personalities and characteristics earned and owned. An identity that sums up our whole existence, which was really created through random acts of duality. A whole package of experiences that defines us and what is known as our personal identity or ego, a new attributable characteristic housed in a bio-form that takes precedence in the way we see the world and God. A one of a kind self-created personal reality attached to emotions, experiences and appearances that appropriately dictate a conditioned response based on one limited viewpoint. This viewpoint or interpretive lens is colored by ideologies that form an elusive identity that is ever evolving making it a victim of circumstances and a time based phenomenon. Being a victim and an attribute of evolution sentences this identity to morph constantly and provide little comfort, because the laws of duality or time demand oscillations. When your identity is locked onto these changing ideological formats and guarded by an ego or a closed mind, then only conditioned responses will appear which are always lacking in true critical thinking.

What do you identify with? And that which you do identify with is most likely the cause of your suffering.

My position is that any ego that identifies with the physical and social ideologies is completely misplaced and false, because this type of identity changes constantly thus changing the way we see ourselves.

If the truth changes, is that still the truth?

No, if it changes then it wasn’t the truth to begin with, and only that which doesn’t change and remains constant is the truth!

That which doesn’t change despite the decay of the body and mind is your true identity and all else is false reasoning or a temporary aberration.

Time is based on matter and energy which is always in motion and subject to oscillations, growth, decay and death. What is true today may be gone tomorrow, so what is it that remains beyond the perceivable universe and time?

That my friends is your true identity and the Eternal Soul or the Self, however for now it’s temporarily glossed over by another identity which is limited, conditioned and fleeting. This new identity has a growing ideology that changes with time, but this type of identity is lacking in continuity and substance. During times of stress this identity forces a controlling attitude in uncontrollable situations, unable to accept the controller looks for control or explanations through personal ideologies. However, when you're trying to lock down an identity to a body in a universe where everything is in motion and changing it doesn’t workout well, because you’re foundation is in flux. And despite the endless hardships with this frail and enigmatic identity that has a limited existence we still wholeheartedly identify with it and blindly fight for its existence.

Even if we think we are Eternal at the core of our being does that really change the identity you have with the body now?

No, of course not, and for this life has got you hook line and sinker, and as much as you want it to change it always remains business as usual and your just the pawn in the game of duality (life). The problem is this identity which latched onto a changing and imperfect continuum is really part of a natural occurrence in life making it a point that nobody wants to analyze, for it neutralizes all that a person supposedly stands for. It will do that and it should do that, because that which you’re standing on is a icy slope anyways that is destined to melt. If you’re standing on solid eternal ground then not even the world or death will shake you off, and contentment will be your steadfast repose.

Stability and an unshakeable confidence with a love that is lasting and real, but detached from appearances and ideologies. Unconditioned by circumstances is real love and your true identity, otherwise your identity and love is conditioned by your environment and experiences.

Nobody will truly know this person you identify with, because it’s just too hard to understand the changing you, and how could anyone understand anyways? Everyone’s created separate and different complex personas with hidden secrets, experiences, and agendas that occupy their life, thus coloring every story they hear and say.

We hang on to this secretive baggage which makes up our hidden identity, and show people another version that we think we should be, however that image is flawed and lacking in information. How can we expect anyone to know us as we are when we don’t even identify with the image we give them! And, what we do identify with, that being the content of the mind and the body image is really a representation of change and decay, a limited and degrading idea of ourselves. Adding more than one identity just adds more confusion to the ever evolving notion of who we think we are.

Can you really know yourself if you are constantly mutating?

Did you wake up this morning as the same person you were ten years ago?….two years ago?…..ten months ago?

A myriad of identities all wrapped up in a myriad of ideologies, housed by a single apparatus, which for better or worst will choose a reaction that only binds it further to this revolving identity. Only One identity is perfectly true and worth cultivating, the rest is duality expressing itself with an ego tagging along in a misplaced sense of belonging, unfortunately based on a purification system that uses annihilation to get its point across.

Imperfection gave us the many aspects of the Universe; however Perfection and Purity at our core gave birth to imperfection and impurity, and by wrongly identifying with the latter transient state of perfection causes the suffering.

This alone is the cause of the upheaval in the world with all the lost individuals exercising control to push their limited and personal agenda.

This morphing identity compels one to act irrationally and emotionally demanding satisfaction, but no one can be satisfied with their transient state for very long, because duality is the king of this road. If you work hard to protect, preserve and prolong this identity through personal ideologies then you’re chained down to one limited view point, which will keep your love and knowledge conditioned. You really don’t know who you are among the myriad of false identities that you cultivated through the years. Don’t expect anyone else to truly understand you, nor you to understand where their identity lies at any given time.

Only the Self-realized or Enlightened folk will know for sure the true identity of the Source (God), because they have seen and know the Source intimately, thus identifying with It, and that’s Self-realization. Theirs and everyone’s identity is one of the same true Reality, however for now the Self is covered by illusions of the mind, and that comes with attachments. Only the truly awakened ones are content with life and know the Eternal Self, so they help others rediscover that divinity within, but beware there are many false teachers who didn’t see and can only parrot those who have.

By identifying with a limited resource and not with Eternity or the Self, you thereby sentence yourself to needless mental suffering, because you are totally alone on this journey you identify with. It’s all based on time, so it will never be satisfying for very long before duality opens another door that tears into this fragile identity. A perpetually unstable identity that is vulnerable and prone to rocking, and with a world that has an endless supply of waves your world will be easily rocked. I would argue that loneliness and a sense of belonging is mostly everyone’s crutch on this journey, because of this lonely independent identity.

The main problem is that true independence is an outright joke anyways and all needs all. Alone yes, it will seem that way and all the way to the end it will seem that way, however in Eternity where all is One we are complete and without the need of manifestation (attachments). Getting use to this Eternal identity and a universe without form starts with meditation, which cultivates your truth and the rock solid identity that never changes regardless of what happens.

Unless true Reality, true Love, and the Eternal Self is taught within the core of our educational system and spiritual institutions, then true contentment and peace with life will never happen.

The Path of Negation

This spiritual path has a long lineage and success in regards to enlightenment or Self-realization; however it being overshadowed by larger more vocal religions and spiritual paths makes it more of a solo journey. This path doesn’t bore or bog you with ideals, history or reasons why it’s better, nor does it want anything from you except the desire to know firsthand. It’s seen as a hard path to follow, but I would assert it’s a more efficient way of finding your Self (Soul), as in Self-realization, and anyone can do it. This essentially is the path I took so I know it well, and I can tell you truly it’s one of the more efficient paths at dissolving the universe and uncovering Eternity, which is called Enlightenment.

This path runs deep in logic and goes straight to the Source by mentally looking away from any worldly meaning outside of the Self. You inwardly negate all appearances and words as unessential to the Self. You’re neutralizing life from the inside out rendering it incapable to distract you from your goal, and you personally hang everything on one hook, which is your last belief system, that nothing here can deliver you Home. You trust in your teacher and all the true teachers of the past and search without fear for the Self and the one true Reality, and you do this because of your trust and faith in your teacher, God and Self-realization. You do this because you can, and your deep interest in the truth, God liberation, peace, and happiness drives you. The freedom that comes with identifying with the true Self is your rightful heritage, a divinized state that’s waiting for you, so you can get your mind and body in sync with an Eternal tune-up, and that should be your last and only goal.

You do this with a discerning eye that sees the world as a fraud in order to create a new mindset, which understands the way to Reality is taken by withdrawing your personal stake in the illusionary world. Loosing your emotional interest in the outside drama, or knowing there will be no relief there forces you to look within for relief in a sustained search inside. Knowing full well that the illusion has you locked in and you have to be really diligent at unchaining your Self from the mind/body complex, almost like you want to wake up from a bad dream. You have to be willing to do what it takes and go within with a single minded focus on the Self, thus dissolving the universe from the inside out by meditating and talking your Self out of it.

You achieve an internal dialogue which continually sees things as false and not real, thereby counteracting any sway that desires and fears have on you. Since you can only see Eternity through the Self, which is a spec of God seeing God, then all other pull outside of that will be counterproductive to your pursuit. However, life has us captivated and the attention of the Self is now anchored in life, and that’s what you withdraw in order to break the spell and see clearly. By retracting your attention back away from the mind, body and world, and redirecting it back on the Self, then the clinging to the illusion is voluntarily surrendered and only God is left. Once all residual fears and desires loose their power to interfere in the process then you are ready to let go of everything including all concepts that comes with a personal identity, which has kept you thinking and believing as an individual.

This path of looking away from everything by insistently denouncing the value in time and matter goes right to the heart of your Eternal identity, delivering you into Stillness by disconnecting the external movement of life. If you stick to this path around the clock it will take but a few years, and not the lifetime or several lives as reincarnation states to achieve God liberation.

By mentally negating all that ‘It’ isn’t, you rediscover that which ‘It’ truly is.

Answers from the Source

When we look for solutions that come from the Source for any questions there are a few things that stand in the way or block these divinely influenced answers. The ego influenced mind and the resulting emotions which effectively alter the mind and make it incapable of obtaining the translucent quality that is conducive to the subtle characteristics of the Source, and the universal knowledge that comes therein. The universal perspective is imprinted in consciousness because it’s tied into and held afloat by Awareness (The Self) its still relative. Once the mind is crowded with thoughts that emanate from a personality or entity that overly identifies with appearances then emotions are laced throughout, which escalate things to a higher energy level, intensity level or frequency. All of this revs the mind up and creates its own problems that won’t entertain or let the subtle energies in to mutate and take root; instead the high flying energy of the cycling mind either superimposes over it, or uses it up quickly as a weak source of energy.

You may recall a time when you’re relaxed and letting go welcoming sleep and out of the blue you got your answer, or remembered something important. These types of answers from the Source could happen to you anywhere at anytime as long as you’re surrendering your control. This allows the subtle energies to softly push forward into an open or suspended mind permitting the circulation of energy throughout the brain even activating dormant cells in a subtle synchronicity. Answers and spiritual experiences from the Source come as softly and easy as that, but it can have a huge impact on the individual mind resulting in a turn around moment in ones life. A flood or wave of subtle energy can make one feel light and floating on air as an epiphany carries you through to a higher state of consciousness and unity with life, which changes your outlook. Pure consciousness can give one the spiritual feeling of at-one-ment with all of life, because of its unbinding formless nature and your connection to it allows you to feel and get a sense of universal unity.

Consciousness has access to a purer consciousness which is the first transition point from Awareness, then transforming into different energy giving us the ability to use it and store imprints which make it ours as we direct it. But, pure free consciousness before imprints is clean slate on a subtle level, which is below the normal human mind frequency, and it’s the pushing factor in tandem with Awareness. This free floating current which is labeled pure or universal consciousness flows everywhere in the universe, and what we use as humans when we morph into the individual ego. Emotions then take off and embed that personality and all of its attachments deeper in the psyche, and life and God is filtered through this new interpretive lens, which keeps the mind from entertaining the lower subtle frequencies that pure consciousness and Awareness invokes.

The soft flood light of pure consciousness is divinely inspired by Awareness which is its still anchor in God or your Source. The purity of your Source is the Soul or the inside guru that can see things from a clear perspective only influenced by: The Almighty, and moving (which pushes outward) pure consciousness. When that mixes with the outstanding issues in your life in a suspended mind state then the remaining debris is in a hovering state now vulnerable to change, which falls simply, naturally, subtlety and gracefully into place, and the problem is solved. The problem is really solved by consciousness and the natural laws of attraction and repulsion, which organizes the information rightly, allowing connections and attracting answers, but the open mind also plays a role in cultivating pure consciousness, setting a directive and translating.

Meditating is the key that cultivates this subtle knowledge and keeps your mind fertile and in silent repose as the spreading of seed takes place on an open field which takes root. And, ‘Pop’ goes the answer like a bud popping through soil and it can have an enlightening affect on the individual that is sometimes confused with Enlightenment.

Contemplation is the other key ingredient in solving hard problems, because you have to make it a problem that will remain with you all the time even during sleep, so it has to be worked on during all your spare time giving the suspended ego and mind more time to decipher the issue. Since the suspended mind in most busy minds only happens for a second or two your problem has to be your primary thought above all else. The mind that sticks to one subject without the unnecessary escalation of energy from emotions and with sufficient time spent in clearing the mind with peaceful pauses and meditation will increase your odds greatly. Thoughtless meditation creates a wider spreading focal point or wave to balance out the isolated focal point or narrow stream resulting from deep thinking, and that sort of yin and yang of energies brings in the whole spectrum of help that doesn’t leave anything unturned.

Worshiping God

For me there is one way of worshiping God, that seems to be the best way possible to worship, above all other techniques, which are usually conditioned by the mind with desires and fears. One way of worshiping that is the ultimate service to God, a way that is not conditioned by any ideology, any personal or worldly events, not even the mind, which leaves this way pure, natural, and unconditional, above the rest. One way that shows your ability to surrender, that shows your ability to let go of everything which was previously thought of as too important to forgo, but now it’s voluntarily relinquished by this type of worshiping. And in the process all is worshiped, and nothing is left out or separated by beliefs or attributes, and through this way it will neutralize everything down into one state of being, which leads directly to the ultimate state of being in Eternity.

There is one way that reveals your earnestness, that reveals your persistence, that reveals your inner strength, that reveals your inner knowledge, that reveals your attachments, that reveals your love for God, instead of your love for the body and the world. One way that works in all religions and all ideologies, works anywhere at any time and is truly a cornerstone to peace and happiness. A way that allows everyone the opportunity to witness the Almighty in the glory of perfection, via the divinity within. One way that tells God that all else will be deemed flippant in comparison, and you will be lead by the light of this way for nothing else will do, no replacement is good enough, and in this way only God’s divine intervention will be acknowledged as reality. A way that tells the Almighty you will stop at nothing, and nothing will get in-between you and your love for the Almighty, including mind inclinations. Your determination in this fashion will not only benefit you immensely but it won’t give any counter reasons to doubt your spiritual earnestness, because your effort in a regular practice indicates your resolve, which in turn steadfastly cultivates liberation.

The way is through the silent mind in meditation which worships God in the purest sense of the word. The way starts as a formless meditation observing the energy within, then that merges into the Samadhi State which is the ultimate state of worship. This is as close as you can get to enlightenment before it happens, your natural state of being, which is before the mind. Your ability to stay in this silent repose will reflect your earnestness, and how persistent you are will show how devoted you are to God, despite worldly attractions. This state of being is a state of pure Awareness, or the Self witnessing different states of existing in consciousness. In this thoughtless state one will naturally bounce around from compelling thoughts (attachments) which Awareness witnesses, to the witnessing of moving energies in the body (formless meditating) which takes the place of thoughts, then onto an Awareness of Awareness, which neutralizes the witnessing states altogether, this is beyond perceiving anything externally but God within. In this state there is no longer any Karma, any preconditions, any religions, any spirituality, any universe, any body, or any mind, just you as One, waiting for the illusion to pass by, so the One can see and know the One in All. And after realizing your anchor in Reality you now understand what all the great ones were talking about and the many ways they used to express this divine state of being. Your attachments are replaced by the One, your love lives and breaths through the unconditional state in all, your identity now lies with God, which is your natural state of existing, and you talk and think according to “That”, because everything revolves around “That”.

I hope you can see that formless meditating and the “Samadhi state” is the purest form of worshiping and I originally expand on the words of Nisargadatta who said: The silent mind is the purest form of worship.

Tranquility

Although my branches sway on the winds of time.
My center is still and timeless away from moving leafs.
My limbs are moving but my core stands still with you.
Sit by my side, bask in the shady stillness and take in the view.

The living water will refresh your tired feet, my bench is strong and stable.
Rest close to that which radiates still peace and brings tranquility to all who sit.
My bench is empty, my water clear and my sky is free, come sit and be one with me.
Meditate by my side under the shade of stillness and feel the living waters flow in thee.

Your tree lives and breaths time but its roots are planted firmly in Reality.
Your life on the run, the world on your back, relax here and feel at ease.
The water reflects the images of past illusions that are now under your feet.
The sky has passing clouds of thoughts that when left alone won’t find a seat.

The still Awareness is always here your just focused on the world that is calling.
Don’t finger the phone, don’t double click, or paper back now when peace is knocking.
Its you turn to feel the waters, your turn to rest, your turn to know the view for its in you.
Wake up child of the world, friend of God, and know that thy divinity lies with God.

You who identifies with decay, you who acts mortal, you who judges according to this.
You are the fault, you need to stop, you need to change, for true love is lost in separation.
Love is the common bond that lives through commonality not that which sees differences.
Real love will recognize real love if you allow it, so brush off the dirt of old dominance's.

We will sit under the dark canopy in this empty decision less place and forget life.
The headlines and the calling voices will cease, for the world will be a distant thought.
You won’t want to leave the bench of timeless emptiness and beauty, so grab a seat.
We will sit together above the fray for we have God’s grace that shelters us from the heat.

The Riddles Between This and That (the Illusion and the Reality)

We are not, at our core, any of ‘this’, but we are ‘That,’ however ‘this’ is the opposite of ‘That,’ and since opposites clash, then ‘That’ doesn’t have any opposites like ‘this’ has here to oppose it, and its true, but ‘That’ is still connected to ‘this.’ ‘This’ is ‘That’s’ opposite and a seemingly solid connection while living, but spiritual books deny ‘this’ existence and call it an illusion. Should they really do that? I mean, since ‘That’ has no opposites, they refer to ‘this’ as false, then ‘this’ has no purpose at all, but it has a purpose. We use ‘this’ to become Aware of Being ‘That,’ to attain an all knowing Eternal Awareness of being, which can only come from a dip into ‘this’ place, then upon Realization we know what it means to be a One in All. So it does serve a purpose, because when faced with our opposite we work our way out of its grasp, thus becoming a knower of it, and through this process we discover our Being in the One and only true Reality. We will all have to dissolve, detach or surrender our personal reality for the One lasting Taste of Reality, so I guess calling it an illusion serves a purpose on the path, and it seems like the best way to go, despite the fact that this illusion is serving another purpose. Do we still call it an illusion because it sure fit’s the description or do we dare call it something else; its like a Self discovery battle field of opposites which always leads us to the pursuit of perfection in the wake of its destruction. Everything here will give us reason to look elsewhere, if you hang on to it, whatever it is, you will see it and your reasons for hanging on to it, decay in a slow painful death. Whatever you identify with here will disappoint you, because the real you only identifies with ‘That,’ and ‘this’ is what the mind identities with because it is made out of ‘this’.

Meditation or the art of devaluating the misidentification with ‘this’ within, is the spiritual path to ‘That’, because the mind thinks it owns this realm, and it doesn’t want to admit to its limitations nor its impending death. ‘That’ has to look away from ‘this’ (the mind) as well, so ‘That’ must see all of ‘this’ as a temporary illusion, connected for a reason, and ‘this’ also some characteristics of infinities which is related to ‘That.’ The common bond seems to be in infinite space, however it must separate somewhere before that into the transitory phenomenon, from Stillness to movement, because infinite space has moving particles, and there must be a transition zone. From Awareness to consciousness which is but a moving form of Awareness, from complete Stillness to the first subtle movement in consciousness, and at this location must be the transition zone, back and forth, which originated from Still Light (the reason, not a decision). To look, or to look away seems to be the ultimate question, to be content at looking at God, or to look away and be born. Because there is a connection to ‘this’ that is always there, unnoticeable, but present as long as the universe stays as ‘this.’ And the same transition zone holds true for here too, as in enlightenment, either you are happy with ‘this’ and attached to it or you’re spiritual enough to look away by focusing your attention on ‘That.’

Look forward and don’t look back when you arrive in ‘That,’ and maybe we have mobility (forward) upon permanent dissolution into ‘That,’ however maybe not. I have totally accepted the fact that we are frozen in Eternal Stillness, unable to move besides diverting our attention, and this defies and debunks all spiritual myths that defied the properties of manifestation, but that’s the way it goes, it is, what it is. Reality sees Reality and is known by Reality only, and the illusion sees the illusion but it is known by Reality and the illusion, until the illusion dissolves (enlightenment) then the illusion submissively understands its limitations, and falls into order. Yet the laws of ‘this’ rule supreme in manifestation creating an independence and freedom that is very much needed, a noninterference clause that is necessary to keep them pure, free and separate, and a transition point that makes you commit to ‘this’ or ‘That,’ until you finally understand, then you won’t look away from ‘That’ to live and feel vulnerable in ‘this’ again.

The Chalkboard Metaphor

Let’s try a metaphor on for fun, this is the one about the blackboard and chalk. The blackboard is a symbol for Eternity or God, always still, always the same, attribute less, nothing changes, then it became Aware of being, and when the light of Awareness dawned, it in turn, just from being Aware, not only created the chalk but set the chalk in motion. Chalk went on to draw different forms upon the board, that eventually evolved into, colors, pictures, words and a multitude of moving objects. The chalk was know as energy or consciousness, which is but a moving form of the original consciousness, or from an Awareness of being. Each one of us is a tiny part of the blackboard, and each one of us is viewing the chalk designs on the surface and they are temporarily a part of us, which is a moving expression of us, or our personal worlds. The chalks essence is constantly moving, but the blackboard is still and unaffected by the movement, and once all the chalk is erased (enlightenment) from the board, then the blackboard realizes that it wasn’t the chalk at all, but the blackboard all along, and it never changed or went anywhere. The identity to the chalk is no longer needed nor is it seen as important as ones true identity. Now the blackboard knows for sure that it is the blackboard and talks like a blackboard should, and the chalk is seen as it is, a condition of time and thus not real or pure like the backboard is. The blackboard realizes that it was not only Eternal, indestructible, unchanging (because any form, or movement is change in action which is conditioned by the chalk or time), and Godly, but also beyond the mind, senses or feelings. One solid mass of Eternal Reality that is impenetrable by moving energy thus making it omnipotent and more powerful then anything manifested. One single backdrop to all of manifestation that is beyond all physical perception, which remains absolutely Still, formless and forever pure, so that the dance of manifestation can take place. If it wasn’t all powerful and still like that, it wouldn’t be able to hold up the universe with its great weight, or hold it all together. You can see that there has to be something other than the give and take of energy, something bigger then the negative and the positive forces that we live in. And there is, and thank God for that, because without the eternal blackboard and the chalk of light there is no universe or us.

Entrainment

As explained in Wikipedia: this is the process whereby two interacting oscillating systems, which have different periods when they function independently, assume the same period. The two oscillators may fall into synchrony, but other phase relationships are also possible.

These phase relationships also work with people, their relationships, in groups, and the tighter the relationship the more in sync they become. The fact that entrainment can happen with inanimate objects means it certainly can happen to humans. Women in the same house have been known to fall in sync with their menstrual cycle, and it can work on many different personal levels, also in business environments or sporting ones, anywhere at any time you can find synchronicity with the circumstances. In group meditations a feeling of at-one-ment can be felt and enhanced proportionally, and the study of unstable groups and their viral behavior is recognized by researchers, and I see it as a high intensity entrainment. Just from proximity and a willingness to surrender to the event seems to create all sorts of phase relationships whether it be good or bad.

During personal relationships we learn our partners cycle of happiness, setbacks, and activities and fall into a rhythm that coexists with those characteristics. A comfort zone is achieved that gives one a feeling of security, predictability, and chemistry. Both partners have to be open, and have a willingness to surrender and work within their weaknesses and strengths, in order to become one solid and well rounded entity. The ability to become a good receiver is essential to the equation because an open mind is a flexible ingredient that gives one the opportunity to grow and merge together. If the mind resists and fights for the ego, then the synchronicity and the subtle frequencies can’t fall into rhythm, and growth stops. Being in sync with your partner is the most peaceful and harmonious relationship possible. Arguments will be a relic of the past, and life seems almost surreal in the home, without any made up disturbances your able to float around most of life’s setbacks. A powerful team that can’t be denied is a team that relies on no individual power. One heart beat, its efficient, its easier, its natural, its alert, its productive, and its the most harmonious way of living with your partner.

The great business teams or sporting teams are that ones that know all of their weaknesses and strengths, come together to work on those weaknesses, enhance the positives, face the hardships together and surrender to the cause is a reflection of your earnestness. Every bit of personal sabotage, negativity, disappointments, personal merits, personal failures, stubborn attitudes or anything that props up the selfish ego that wants to stray into the self absorbed mind, must be surrendered for the cause. Nothing can penetrate the focus of the team and create disharmony within the group, they continue despite all that has transpired, and all the outside heat won’t make them trip or respond out of team character. Any relationships can have a bond like this which is shielded from outside influences so a balance is allowed to flourish within the union. A phase relationship forms from an easy synchronicity that fell naturally into place out of proximity and familiarity. Its all about success in an efficient manner, and by allowing the entrainment to prosper within you’ll feel impenetrable or unstoppable due to the strong connections from within the group.

The same holds true with the Guru and disciple relationship, which allows peace to flow through the group, if one is a good receiver and leaves themselves open to subtle frequencies they’ll find the peace noticeable and palatable. If the guru stops his or her mind and sits in the tranquility of the moment then peace has a chance to radiate through the whole room with the help of the good receivers passing it on. If people are resistant, fighting within or fighting with the teacher then no surrendering can take place. But even that road block can fall for a second and the silent mind wins the moment, then witnessing peace can take place. Surrendering restraints can happen to the most stubborn minds, and it can turn them on a dime with an epiphany, and this happens when one gives up the reigns. Face to face with their issues they realize its up to them to clear the way for more understanding, and give up the fight, after one taste of inner peace.

The Human Love

It sounds unusual but us as temporary humans have this emotional love that is overwhelming and dependent, and entirely our own. The majority of people think this is the real love, and it is an extreme representation of love, however it’s a human version or a conditional response. In the pure meaning of the word, love is not this, and in its simple and natural state is unconditional in humans. The morphed conditioned version resulted from the ego laying claim as “I” and “Mine,” which the mind confuses as love. And, true unconditional love is the love that the sages find through Self-realization, and although they may still show signs of feelings, that seem to resemble I and mine, however it’s naturally extinguished in short order. Because in comparison to real love without boundaries, it wasn’t factual, an intense drama but I’m still in the theater. I know, like, I know that I’m sitting in a “room” writing at this moment, and you are reading this in a “room” at this moment, and how could you not know that. Similarly, I know that I’m in the theater watching the drama unfold, like you would know you were in the movie theater watching a movie, temporally caught up in it, like an empathic, but soon to file it away as a movie. This detached love doesn’t sound like love but it is the highest form of love, which knows no boundaries and knows all is not lost for nothing was really gained. It may look distant like tough love, and it won’t tally with the attached version of personal love that’s dependent, so it’ll be hardly noticeable and understood. But it’s in you, in one and all, and this will be realized by all, eventually, however for right now only the Realized or the serious aspirant hot on the path will know this. The purity in all of life can not be forgotten once Realized, and this charade of plots and tragedies can be captivating entertainment and at times heart wrenching. When bodies collide with harder objects only that part which has to dissolve anyways, that impure part suffers, and that which is purer and impossible to hurt is still unaffected and watching, and that’s hard to forget. Only the ugly part dies and if you identify with the ugly part you will fear in living and death, and suffer accordingly to your attachments. Isn’t it nice to know that freedom from the ugly (the world, body and mind) is our final outcome and true love our effortless existence. Real love doesn’t have boundaries or restrictions that the mind habitually uses, and sees no differences that are real and binding to a natural love that lasts forever.

Are We Enlightened Already?….If so, then there’s nothing to pursue and nothing to change...Right?

Technically speaking, at the core, you are already enlightened or Self-Realized, however
Technically speaking the mind is not enlightened until the Self (Soul) sees Reality or God.
The mind, body and consciousness get in tune with enlightenment when this happens.
Although the Self is in a state of Realization, the mind and body can’t comprehend it.
The mind can only mentally understand enlightenment, until the Self sees Reality.

When consciousness or the mind and body Realizes this, then one is fully enlightened.
The mind and body will undergo subtle changes after the big change of enlightenment hits.
The big transformation of enlightenment will change you, emptying your desires and fears.
This immediate altering is strong yet subtly bankrupting all your useless desires and fears.
These events garner even more control over the mind, but it will still undergo refinement.
The body will slowly undergo changes getting more and more sensitive to refined energy.
Making the transition from clashing internal and external energies to harmonizing energies.

If none of these things were possible then the idea of enlightenment wouldn’t even arise.
Since the body and mind are foreign to the Self, it makes Self-realization a possible goal.
If the Self was a product of energy, not its opposite, it wouldn’t be Eternal or Realizable.
The Self is connected to the universal consciousness at birth but this egg shell is breakable.
Universal consciousness is a subtle energy that evolved from the Self, the Void or God.
It breaths life into everything and is responsible for the universe of changing phenomenon.
It changes and moves, but the Self never changes, expands or moves in any way.
In enlightenment, consciousness becomes universally known and somewhat controllable.
It becomes an informational avenue for understanding life and God, via the universal mind.

This is so important because total liberation can’t happen until this is understood.
Because the shell breaks when one looks away from the world, mind and consciousness.
This is the job for deep states of Samadhi meditation, which isolate the yolk from the shell.
Causing the shell to collapse and thus exposes the realm of Eternity, or God to the Self.
This rare event among the Seers, Saints, and Sages is what is called enlightenment.
You find your position in Eternity, your place with God, which in essence is God seeing God.
The universe and all of its contents, including the universal mind and consciousness is then
Seen as an illusion, not real, an impure and imperfect offshoot of Pure Perfection or God.

Prayer vs. Blessings

Everyone is familiar with prayer, and it’s one of the more popular attributes of today’s religions. Out of a sense of belonging, self-preservation, and convenience we gather concepts that suit our personal agenda. Unfortunately, this act usually bleeds over into the way we pray and see God, thus avoiding deeper issues. Denial is the foundation of the lazy religious negotiator as they navigate through life, and prayer is one of their tools. Causing an avoidance to prayer for many people, and I am one. God is leveraged out in so many different directions these days, hardly anyone is looking for the truth or at their own issues. Thank goodness for networking sites like this where we can find like minded people making a positive effort.

Prayer looses its power or purpose when judgments or personal ideologies surface in the process, which negate what little good comes from them. Selfless prayer is a rare commodity today, and few understand the value of the humble servant. True selfless prayer does help in life, when it’s done with sincerity and not with judgment, or as a prop for the ego. Passing on good thoughts might not help much, however empathy with sincerity is the best you can do in a lot of circumstances. Thoughts have a subtle power to them, and although they may not change anything on the outside, they can help people deal with the tragedy on the inside.

My teacher used Blessings as a replacement to prayer, and I think its philosophy and benefits help the one who is blessing as well as the blessed, helps them to see things differently by not using a third independent fabricated persona that rules over us.

The idea behind blessings is that life happens, sometimes sh*t happens, and there’s not much you can do about it, besides sending some good blessings their way, to help them and yourself in dealing with this crisis.

I’ve added a few words to the blessings, but for the most part they are the words of Vethathiri Maharishi.

Picture the people in your mind and say, “you are blessed with God’s Divine power, you are blessed by the divine. You will live a long life, good health, prosperity, happiness, wisdom and peace, by the grace of the Divine. You are protected by the Divine in all your activities, day and night in all places.” Repeat as often as you think is necessary, and notice that it is done by the first person, instead of asking for an external favor, one is directly delivering the blessing through them. We forget that the Divine is within us and this reaffirms this fact, that we are that, an extension of that, and our natural right, so we should activate it and act accordingly. It forces us to stop thinking of God as something external that we need to shore down.

Global blessing: “May the rains fall timely and sufficiently along all parts of the world, so that good grains, fruits, and vegetables grow abundantly to the satisfaction of all living beings, by the grace of the Divine.”

“May the leaders of all nations enjoy spiritual progress and do good services for humanity, by the grace of the Divine.”

“The whole world may enjoy prosperity, happiness, wisdom and peace, by the grace of the Divine.”

I would bless everything around me after every mediation. Family, friends, my animals, my properties, vehicles, enemies (if any) and business associates.

I would picture myself walking around and inside my home, as well as the family home, the rental properties, or any business, and in seeing the inhabitants I would bless them as I go. “You are blessed by the Divine (Vazhga Valamudan), you are all protected by the Divine in all your activities day and night in all places.

I would picture the animals in my mind and say: “You are protected by the divine in all your activities day and night in all places. You will live long, healthy, happy, peaceful lives by the grace of the Divine.”

Picture your vehicle, or do it when your in the vehicle. “This vehicle and its precious cargo is protected by the Divine in all of its journeys, day and night in all places, by the grace of the Divine.”

I think for a lot of spiritualists prayer has lost its luster, however blessings is a good replacement especially if you feel inclined to do something. These boiler plate ones are a good start if your looking for something spiritual to add to your path.

Earnestness to Enlightenment

Earnestness leads to Enlightenment like it dose to any skill in life. The earnestness is all the intense interest, research, understanding, and determination it takes to get there. It’s the effort applied when reaching for a distant goal. When most people think of enlightenment they think of it as a long distance off, or it happens naturally without effort. This is a confusing point for some, because of the nature of Self-realization. Which happens during a state of surrendering or effortlessly being, but it also follows a long effortful journey to get to that point. Everyone will have different time frames due to the varying degrees of interest and ingrained dogmas, or predispositions that stagnate growth. Nonetheless, by getting an idea of how much earnestness is required you get a feel for what it takes, and you can compare it to your own accomplishments. It will also help in instilling confidence in the practitioner, knowing that they had a similar experience in earnestness, that sustained desire to understand something totally. Enlightenment talk here is returning home to Eternity, and realizing your true identity first hand. You’re really going in full circle, back through the same direction or door from whence you came.

How much effort is necessary to realize your true identity? Well, how much effort do you need in order to become an expert at something like a trade, craft or profession. Do you play a sport or instrument with ease, like the instrument or equipment was a pure extension of your intention, and on a good day you’re as close to perfection as you can get. To be able to get to that level takes plenty of earnestness, and at that level the same feelings hold true of effortlessly doing it, without employing the mind. This is a state of “Witnessing” which is based in knowledge and matures with practice, produces your best performance. When you get extremely interested and determined to be good at something, you really can’t leave it alone until you master it. And, once you arrive at that easy stage of a master, then you’re so confident in your skill it that happens naturally and spontaneously without thinking, never doubting your ability. Similarly, mastering the art of spirituality takes this type of seriousness until it becomes effortless, and a natural part of your daily existence. Always working on yourself until you don’t know anything else, or any other way of living. It’s a natural part of you, and an on going process that eventually dominates everything else, deeming them ineffective to your pursuit. You don’t have to think about purposely doing it anymore, since you live and breath it now, and if you have no intention of stopping, then only one thing can happen, you find and see Eternal PERFECTION.

Waiting for Enlightenment without making the effort just doesn’t work, but maybe once in a millennium someone stumbles onto it, gets close, or touches it through meltdowns, drugs, epiphanies, or near death experiences. These are unusual circumstances that do provide spiritual experiences, however, rarely does it bring about the complete Self-realization that we’re looking for, and there is no settling for less. Nothing in life comes easy as you know and this is no different from that, all the failures and successes on the path are a necessary part of the journey. Obviously no one can do that for you, so you have to find your own inner desire, your leader, your teacher, and let pure reasoning guide you through.

Contemplation and meditation seems to be the path for all, because even though the vehicles arrive from all directions, from different levels and although they are filled with different spiritual fuels, they all end up taking the same path. Introspection and pure being by surrendering control turns out to be the sincere earnestness that’s required. Waiting in thoughtless being for the metaphorical door to open, is the waiting area for all, and we all end up knocking at the same door. The Source has but one door, which is the white of consciousness, and all paths are united when approaching that door, and your persistence at remaining there, opens it. How much do you want it? Are you willing to sacrifice everything, including your personal life for that goal? If you are earnest and steadfast to your goal, it won’t take that long, but few will be, most will wander off, enticed by the world of senses. If you are 100% committed on all fronts, it will be similar to getting a degree, of about two to four years after reaching your round the clock commitment.

“The Witness State”

The Witness is the thoughtless observer within us, or a state of being in consciousness that is purely witnessing life take place without contemplating differences. A state of complete acceptance without personal predispositions that alter the event, find fault, take credit or judge. Reactions are present but not with any forethought or designs on the outcome, going with the flow in a thoughtless state of observing, which consequently is minus the doer or ego. The Witness is the Soul’s first contact in consciousness, the birth state of being, before the mind developed with a personality causing the Doer to step into the picture. The Soul, Self, or Awareness is the Watcher of all, and on its own sees nothing but Eternity and God, but when the Watcher is attached to consciousness it turns into the Witness of the world. Then the witness eventually turns into the Doer after staking claim in the world as an independent thinker, so the mislead mind is the doer, and the witness is consciousness without thinking, and the pure Watcher is Reality without the witness. Cultivating the pure Witness back into the forefront of your life is the purpose of meditations and a very important step for the Spiritual Seeker.

Reclaiming that universal witness that exists in all living creatures, can be done during active times and inactive times. These different states of witnessing are both relatively hard to master, however well worth the effort, and the inactive Witness is the most important part of spirituality. Meditation techniques are geared towards different states of witnessing, and the experiences that follow are milestones on the spiritual path. Any activity in life can be done by remaining in the moment as the Witness, and this is a good step in garnering control of the mind by falling back into the Witness, keeps the mind at bay. There are different types of mind decoys available for meditating, which help in keeping the mind targeted on something repetitious as you slip behind into deeper states of witnessing. Many spiritual experiences happen within these different layers, but experiences in the “Samadhi State” are on a deeper level yet, which can change your outlook or understanding on life and God. In all cases, besides the finale awakening, the experiences are an indication of transitional periods in spiritually, which can be good or scary, and usually untranslatable.

The spiritual process through meditation delivers emotional stability and balance into ones life, and it can also help you control the direction of your mind. The constant redirection towards spiritual techniques or being the Witness, strengthens your control over the mind, allowing you to guide it and find the advance stages of thoughtless meditating. The pure Witness of this basic formless life force (consciousness) within, is the last meditating stage before one slips into the “Samadhi State”, which is beyond observing. It can be a long process, depending of course on your determination, but keeping the mind in silent repose is the key cornerstone to Enlightenment or Self-realization. For then, there is no way to go but further in, now that the world is rendered useless, discarded as the primary attention getter you cast your moorings aside for a new focus on the Eternal God.

The “Samadhi State”

This is a state of being, in consciousness, is similar to your most natural state of existence, which means it’s a refection on your Eternal state of being. This state of being can be considered as the waiting room before Self-realization. Your ability to spend some time here will be determined by your dedication, mind strength, and surrendering powers. Mind strength is your ability to keep the mind in silent repose, and surrendering the world and all your predispositions is a huge part of staying that way. To arrive in the Samadhi state takes a high level of surrendering, sincere earnestness, and a lot of practice, because the “Witnessing state” with eyes closed is difficult, but a necessary stage.

The characteristics of the Samadhi state are beyond meditation techniques, because most techniques are designed to get you to the Witness state. However, taking the next step in, the Witness and all the mind decoy techniques have to be abandoned before entering. There’s a sort of a transition zone where the decoys die out (mantras, etc.), and your perceiving (Witnessing) nothing but consciousness, life force, or internal energy. This zone is more or less another waiting area, or stage before you slip into Samadhi, which is the merging or union of the perceiver and the perceived. Altogether, I see four levels or stages of spiritual progression: The Doer state, the Witness state (Active and Inactive), the Samadhi state, and the Eternal state.

Surrendering all concepts that are related to appearances, and ideas of a separate God are part of the transitioning into this divine state. Letting go, releasing your grip, or looking away from all personal and conditioned responses of the mind, for one thoughtless and primordial state of being in consciousness. When sitting and waiting in the transition zone of formless meditating witnessing the life force it produces an unnoticeable and feelingless merging between different states, and before you know it your in Samadhi. An entrainment occurs when consciousness falls in sync with Awareness and they sit as one in the Samadhi state, without movement or reason. This thoughtless state of being is characterized as a lost of perceiving of anything external or internal, nothing outside or inside of you is perceivable, or preventing you from just being like this. The Samadhi state is the supreme state of surrendering, and your ability to stay like this for extended periods, determines your ability to surrender and go with it, which is releasing limited identity for the Eternal One. Eventually your fortitude and determination at acquiring this state of being when meditating will release you from your imaginary bondage, once liberated from death and desire, contentment will reign supreme.

This Samadhi state, which is the closest representation of your Eternal state of being while embodied will be last step you can take before Self-realization, and the ultimate step will be beyond all. To go beyond, I believe another entrainment happens in the Samadhi state between Eternity (God) and your Awareness, that overpowers the curtain of consciousness (energy), which is like a film or covering over Awareness, which in turn keeps it captive. It’s almost like you’re spreading out consciousness thinly until a tear in the fabric takes off and exposes the Eternal realm, our real Home.

Consciousness vs. Awareness

In a lot of spiritual books consciousness is divided into two groups: The universal or super-consciousness, and regular consciousness. This change happens when experiencing the Source, resulting in a deep understanding, therefore consciousness is subject to changes, and matures spiritually. You can also go in and out of different states of consciousness that aren’t related to spirituality, and consciousness can be weak or strong and full of life. However, Awareness remains constant and unaffected, the solid background, watching the show.

Awareness, our Eternal identity doesn’t change, or have any feelings that are related to energy, so it needs a form with consciousness to perceive matter via the senses. Awareness is without changing particles and the variety of appearances it provides, so it needs a connection or a reflection in consciousness to witness the world. This is a natural connection, or progression, because energy is the child of Awareness, the prodigal son, and being activated for a tour of duty is a real blessing in disguise.

Awareness’s first point of contact is in this bio-consciousness mass, and is referred to as “The Witness” in spiritual books. This is the thoughtless observer or pure consciousness state of the body and mind, in union, produces different states of being in consciousness, which are called spiritual experiences. However, Awareness is always consistent as the watcher perceiving the flow of images through consciousness, and until Awareness sees Reality, consciousness keeps you here, entrapped or covered . Awareness can’t see the universe at all or even understand duality until birth, and when Enlightenment dawns this fact is obvious. Spiritual experiences in consciousness are all over the charts, but the ultimate experience of Self-realization is the same for one and all, and happens in Awareness only, no moving visuals, no sounds, no forms, no color, no movement. Birth turns on the display of sensory enjoyment, and the love affair takes off with energy and the flow of opposites. Lost in the thrill of consciousness we gloss over our Eternal identity, for this temporary heightened sense of existence, which is outside the norm.

After Self-realization one can say their consciousness developed into the universal state, which is true because the personal and mind limited consciousness is now expanded and complete. Awareness now understands consciousness as universal life, a product of the universe, and consequently must stay with the universe after death. Awareness sits in its own dimension of pure Space, and is unaffected by the unfolding drama of its new attached organism. Awareness is the most subtle form of consciousness, comprised of a Still Eternal Light, the common denominator in all things, which again is the still screen or foundation behind movement. It seems like Awareness radiated consciousness causing a spreading wave or “Akasha field” of energy seeping out creating the universal expansion we see today. And, even though this subtle movement eventually turned into the universe, it is still the moving part, reflection or the effect, and not the cause, or the real You.

You are the still essence that supports the universe, and all that appears in the universe is linked to You, but an imperfect link or reflection of You. You are perfect at the core and a crucial piece in the puzzle of life and Eternity. Just by existing in your true identity is all you have to do, and the best you can do, because by not identifying with this mass of vapors parading as reality, you turn into a beacon of truth for Awareness. Once your Soul gets a sobering look at Reality it washes away all the false notions, and consciousness goes along for the ride instead of Awareness being taken for a ride.

Peaceful Pauses

Everyday in our normal working lives we are faced with many opportunities to work on our spiritual development, but we usually waste it on unproductive mind chatter. Why not put this time to good use, it really doesn’t matter how little time it is, because in establishing a new mental pattern it all begins with these wasted moments. Why let the mind control you and take you to places that don’t have any meaning, and may eventually add to the weight on your back. When we take a close look at our internal dialogue, beyond our normal reactions, most of it is complete gibberish, and this technique can turn your life around and cultivate stability. You can work on these moments to advance yourself spiritually, strengthen the mind and concentration, and you don’t have to give up anything.

No matter how busy our day is we experience down time and gaps in-between places, which can become mentally and spiritually productive. If you can text message or check email you will have the time to check in for a peaceful pause. So many times we are caught between appointments and destinations, and it seems like a big part of life is wasting time, but most of the time we fill it up with mental gossip, desires and worries.

With practice these pauses can also be done with the eyes open, whether in front of the computer, TV, reading a paper or any number of ways. I was able to find many ways throughout the day, and everyone thinks you’re caught up in the mind, reading, or just relaxing in waiting rooms, for there is no need of posture. When it’s down time anyways why not do it? There is no need to be obvious, keep it hidden, under the radar and you’ll find a place to escape to at any time, and a series of pauses can help you regulate your emotions. It’ll give you a calm foundation throughout the hectic day, and give you a sense of peace in trying moments. It is important not to let the spiritual path mix with the ego’s need for attention, thus creating a spiritual ego which is counterproductive to spirituality and self-realization.

A lot of techniques involve staying in the moment which is good meditation, however this is giving up on the external sensory moment altogether. The “living in the moment” needs the world as a participant, an object of observation and this is the next step up or in, by observing the body energies and forgetting about the world for a moment. You’re unplugging from the mind, and standing back within, withdrawing your attention away to observe or focus on the internal energies, thereby being in the moment with that energy. You will notice different types of currents and sensations. It will depend on what you’re involved with at the time, but by withdrawing back you’re defusing the situation. Now the over stimulated areas have lost their concentration of energy, and the energy is left to flounder aimlessly, dissipating slowly without direction resulting in a spreading action. You can perceive all this and different kinds of wavy currents, heart rate, blood flow and heat changes. I actually enjoy checking out to check in with that life-force whenever I can.

It’s like a short detour, I’ll try to explain it with an example of what it is like. But first, we’re using meditation techniques of Nisarga Yoga and self-realization meditations, but in short periods. It’s good to start with these pauses, because sitting for long periods of time in a thoughtless manner is hard to master, so you work up to more time. When you are in the background observing the current the mind ceases, but when your involved in thought your back to the foreground and the world. It’s a change in direction with your attention and focus, by falling back to the rear position before the energy you can sit and watch.

Now a visual example of what it’s like, which is similar to this withdrawing of attention. When you’re reading this script your focus is out in front of you on the words, and the periphery environment your in is out of focus. With the screen in the front of you, sit back and pan out periphery and focus in on the room. The writing is out of focus or unreadable, because when you diverted your attention back the energy spreads out on a wide angle. You can’t read this and see the room at the same time, its either focusing on the room or the script, which is either the body energy or the mind. The screen is the mind and the body energy is the room, and you do it not with the eyes but behind closed eyes. You do it with your attention retreating, pulling back the control thus regulating the minds control.

Try it, it’ll give you something to do even on a busy day, and you should take the time to shake off this illusion of being the body. Remember you are not what you observe in life, so be what you are, and separate yourself from what you are not, this is the goal of peaceful pauses and meditation in general.

The Trail to Eternity

Take refuge in the calmness of a silent mind
Refuse attention to the ego that lays claim in doing

Take nothing personally, for this person you are not
Refuse any claim to the fragile human, which you can find

Take in your outside concerns, for inside introspection
Refuse to identify with labels that the ego claims as real

Take alms from the moment, which cleanses the mind
Refuse any alms which inflate your attachments to the body

Take the body and mind as the holy ghost, but be the Son
Refuse to except appearances as reality, for they will bind

The Theater Seat

There was this simple man who had simple values, and cherished a simple life style. He lived in a small town, and everyone in that town knew the town Mayor personally as an honest and respected man with well educated advice, and he was one of the few worldly people in the area. Born and raised in the small town the Mayor went on to a big college, and was successful as a big city Mayor before he decided to help his home town community. After twenty years of service he was thinking of opening a spiritual clinic, which was a shock to the rest of the town since he never went to church.

The simple man who was well liked and respected in town as well, decided to have the Mayor over for dinner, and try to talk him into keeping his city position. After all, he turned the city around from a dying ghost town to a thriving community, and everyone loved and respected him, but now he stands to loose all that.

Sitting down after dinner with a cup of coffee the simple man spoke up and said to his Mayor, “Is there something we can do as communities that will make you change your mind? If there is something wrong then let us know and we’ll fix it, we will do anything to keep you as Mayor my good friend.” The Mayor politely responded with a shrug and a smile and said, “Nothing is wrong and nothing could be better. I finished my job here and it’s time to do something that I always wanted to do, which is to teach spirituality.” “How did this happen and why, when so many people depend on you, and you're a hero to many,” retorted the simple man. The Mayor responded; “You know this exact situation happened to me after my first Mayoral job and it wasn’t easy to explain, so I told them a fictitious story to alleviate any wrong conclusions.” The simple man realized he was at heart of the matter, and probed deep into the mayors past by asking for a explanation on why he left his first job.

Well, the Mayor said, “I will tell you, but first understand I am dead serious about this, and I wouldn’t tell you if it wasn’t the absolute truth.” I understand, replied the man, and I will respect your statement as the truth, and be happy with it, just tell me the reason and I’ll drop it.

While I was Mayor of the big city I would walk to the train station after work and pass by a Yoga center on the way. One time the business owner was locking up when I was passing by, so I introduced myself as Mayor, and he said something unusual.

“Oh no your not, I know better than that,” said the venerable old man, “you never left your theater seat.” What! What are you talking about? Have you lost your mind silly old man? “No!” He said, “You’re the one that lost your mind, because you lost control of it. When you take control of it and realize where your seat is, which your natural identity is, you'll find out that you never really left your seat, and you’ll start talking like this as well.” “Really, tell me more” replied the Mayor. “Well, I found out that we don’t really die and we were never born, as a matter of fact I never left my seat and went anywhere, it was all a theatrical play and I thought I was in it playing a staring role. Then I found out the joke was on me, because the lights came on and the show ended, then I saw the gravity of my mistake. I realized I didn’t even have a part in the show, just thought I had. Now, I help others in finding that light switch, so they can see their position in the theater of reality.”

That’s strange, what else did he say?

“He told me I was making a grave error in believing that I was a fragile human, when I was Eternal and indestructible.” After a long discussion and follow up meetings he said I was ready, and sent me off with a method and clues, and retorted, “figure it out”….“no one can do that for you”…. “Believe in me and what I say and don’t look back, keep searching for the theater until you find it, and see for yourself, what all the great ones saw, you won’t be disappointed. Because in knowing your true position, you find your own anchor of stability on the open seas, and it is a most valuable asset, for you’ll never be lost again. Look within and away from the theatrical world and perceivable movements of energy, and you'll find yourself sitting in the pure still sea of Eternity.”

This was all so new to me and I was taken back by the statement, but I was also very curious, and whether he was crazy or not he had me hook, line and sinker. Walking to the station I asked him, what is the theater? And, how do I find this switch to turn on the light?

“The theater is the grand arena of Eternal space that our Soul resides in, permanently, and you find the switch after fumbling around in the dark for some time. But when you do, you see the source of all, and you realize this play was an illusion, which you had bought into, with a ticket called birth. You never find out where the switch is, or how you turned it on, but by following a simple formula, thereby detaching yourself from the play mentally, you start the search for the switch and eventually the theater will be reveled. You're in essence moving away from the foreground of sensual involvement in the play, to the background darkness of the theater opens up. So, sit back in your seat and know your seat is still, energyless, feelingless, and not perceivable, and what you perceive is the show. When you're able to look away from the show long enough, the show ends and the theater is visible. Your relentless noninvolvement in the show switches on the original Light of God, in Absolute space, your eternal home. But remember, when you're caught up in the show, your not looking for the switch.”

I could not stop thinking about what he said, so I went on the search and years later I proved his formula true, which is why I moved back home to live a simple life. Now I feel compelled to help others find their switch, now that this community is in fine working order on a strong economic foundation.

The simple man stayed up all night thinking about this unusual conversation. The Mayor was a shining example of stability over the past twenty years, and he has not misled me or has been caught in a lie by anyone. Why would he lie now? Especially, to a nobody like me? It’s obviously a more important endeavor to him than being mayor, when he is willing to throw it all behind him and start a new. I find that I have no reason to distrust him, and the spiritual life I have now has done nothing for me. If he was willing to give up everything for the cause, it must be worth it, and I have less than he does to give up. It just seems like a grave error not to follow his advice when I can have the same contentment as he has.

The simple man decides to follow his friends counsel and became his number one disciple. After a couple of years of training his teacher told him, “stop searching for the switch, for the switch is your ability to surrender everything and switch it all off for that. So, sit in the stillness of the theater seat, which is your rear most point of observation, and in the darkness which is in-between the observer and the observed, lies the switch. Become the thoughtless observer from that seat, and stay there in that pure Awareness of nothing else but being, and in that place you naturally cast your moorings aside for what’s beyond.”

The simple man went away, and showed up three months later at his teachers clinic, got down on his knees before him for the first time and said, “That which I thought was real and tangible is shallow and superficial in comparison, you have opened my eyes. You truly are one of the great teachers of all that is timeless, I have to give you my deepest thanks and repay my debt by passing on your teachings of the true and timeless words of Spirituality.” Tears welded up in his master's eyes as he said in a tender voice, “You have already given me the greatest gift of all with the second most glorious day of my life. It is truly one of the best days on earth to receive such a precious gift in return, and now you know we are That, and not this.” The master held out his hands and helped the simple man off his knees. “God has bestowed his grace on you with the glorious vision of his kingdom, now go my saintly friend and help other seekers, for now you are beyond the need of further help.” A long embrace and a few tears dropped from the great joy of the moment, and a sense of awe hung in the air due to the rarity of such an event, and they were basking in it. They parted and never saw one another in form again, but the simple man turned into one of the best spiritual teachers of his time.

Spirituality

Spirituality is the exit ramp off the expressway of life. It shows you another way of living that isn’t confined and defined by the high speed rat race. It talks about the field of wildflowers that thrive and survive in the stillness of the off ramp, and offers a quite refuge from the nonstop pace. It shouldn’t buy into the brainwashing of society that wants you at the same speed as everyone else, to be more productive, so you can buy more things and donate more money. In today’s religious institutions you get very little in return, a few words of wisdom, a lot of wishful thinking, and a real lack of logical answers to big questions. When it should answer all those questions and be an informative discussion on finding your own Realization, so you can be as content as the wildflowers which sit in the stillness of a simple existence, and invite you in unconditionally. It should show you the way by discerning the false from fact, thereby guiding you to your own contentment that is waiting within you. And, you should stop what you're doing and look inside for it, and the happiness that flowers naturally from it. Real spirituality moves away from the outside world of the senses and goes inward to explore the reality that lies beyond appearances.

Being productive in the world is societies beckoning call, however being spiritually productive is God’s beckoning call, and they are related, as far as duty is concerned. You have your duty to the family and to society by creating a stable environment for it to thrive and duty to God by worshiping in silence through meditation and contemplation. Meditation is the most important component to spirituality because it activates the thoughtless witness, which usually lays dormant, and the witness is the bridge between the Soul (Eternity) and mind. Meditation and introspection on the outside may look unproductive and easy, but on the inside it's very productive in the spiritual sense, and hard to master. Spirituality is not an easy endeavor; as a matter of fact it might be one of the hardest but most rewarding endeavors of your life. Self-realization will turn your world inside out, and when you do face reality, you no longer see yourself as a human first and foremost. The end goal of spirituality is to see what you really are, which is pure Awareness in Eternal space without the body, mind and universe. Then you're aligned with the truth, and you find your natural state of existence, that was previously glossed over by the manic doer of the untrue. You go back to the beginning of time, where the core of all things sit as one, and you see where it all comes from and where it all ends up. The wisdom of the Saints is now your wisdom, as you blaze your own trail in the realm of spirituality. You will see life and God as clear as the Saints did and understand the pit falls and stepping stones of the spiritual aspirant, which eventually leads them to contentment.

Spiritual Myths

There are massive amounts of spiritual dogmas out there that place conditions on the spiritual aspirant out of ignorance. The teachers, who are not finding their own bed of wildflowers, speak about others that have, they translate it with the infusion from those who haven’t, and after placing it along side their own ideas of spiritual purity they profess righteousness. In reality, there are no preconditions or outside disciplines to spirituality, just inside work, and it's an open door for everyone. You could be a big time sinner, an obese meat eater, love sex, lost faith in the bible, commit crimes, gay, handicapped, illiterate, mentally challenged, poor or rich, it doesn’t matter. Some religions enforce rules of strict celibacy, diet, vegetarianism, adherence to disciplines, being completely drug and alcohol free, and some are even gender, race and culturally biased. When you start using strict conditions like that, it makes it feel like purity is way out of reach, and a feeling of being inadequate, faulty, undesirable and unworthy takes over, and along with that the guilt and fear of being that way. Spirituality should not endorse abstinence or regulatory disciplines such as penance for sins, for it clearly does not work, and has no effect on your spiritual progress whatsoever, and in fact it can be counterproductive due to the spiritual ego, however they should endorse moderation. Because in fact, you can partake in all of the above sins and still reach the ultimate goal of Enlightenment, for salvation has no physical prerequisites.

Moderation is the key both physically and mentally, if moderation is not your forte and you consider yourself a hopeless extremist then understandably you must drop certain vices. Because when it occupies your every thought your metal strength is poor, and this battle is won by ignoring the mind. Positive thinking, personal introspection, and spiritual contemplation should play a dominate role in the way you use your mind. If spirituality is the main topic in your mind, then the desire to stray is loosing its sway, which means you’re on the right track. It is stepping away from old mental patterns that the rat race induces on your mind, and replacing it with the wildflower seeds on the fertile spiritual mind that is tilled in silence and introspection. You are not what you perceive yourself to be, nor what society perceives you to be, and in order to grasp this and what you really are, you have to go within and inwardly detach yourself from the perceivable. The imperfect human and world are all part of your personal illusion, and distancing yourself from that, is discerning the real you from the perceived you and that is spirituality.

Sins are the acquired baggage or imperfections that keep you from reaching perfection, but perfection is your Soul, eternal and changeless never out of reach. All of life is an escape, an escape from Reality, to toil in and with imperfection, which means any distraction in life that diverts your attention away from knowing the truth can be considered a sin. Sins are the distractions off the path, and once on the steadfast path the sins are negated quickly by the withdraw of attention, and when you totally give up they’re activated again. Does it matter what you did in the past or what you are doing now, if you are now going to give up on the whole idea of being human? That means you are surrendering all of your personal ideals, as well as the body and mind that housed them, and anything that changes, moves or decays in the world. Looking away or ignoring the temporary identity that's attached to the body, and start looking for that identity which doesn’t change, an identity that’s saturated with Eternity or Eternal awareness. Working towards self-realization is to loosen your hold on a world that is imperfect and transitory for the real world of Absolute Awareness, which is pure and indestructible. You have to relinquish the old value system that held you hostage as a less than holy or perfect person, and know that you are worthy of being spiritual avatar, saint or teacher. It is the divine right of everyone regardless of what transpired. Despite of all the transgressions, you are pure and perfect at the core of your being, and nothing has the power to change that. Go in and reclaim it, by disclaiming the other.
