Worshiping God

For me there is one way of worshiping God that seems to be the best way to worship. One way of worshiping that is the ultimate service to God, a way that is not conditioned by any ideology or worldly events, not even the mind, which leaves this way pure natural and unconditional. One way that shows your ability to surrender, shows your ability to let go of everything which was previously thought of as too important to forgo, but now it’s voluntarily relinquished by this type of worshiping. And in the process all is worshiped, and nothing is left out or separated by beliefs or attributes, this way will neutralize everything down into one state of being, leading us directly to the ultimate state of being in Eternity.

There is one way that reveals your earnestness, your persistence, inner strength, inner knowledge, your attachment neutrality, and express your love for God. One way that works for all religions, shows your dedication, and a cornerstone for peace and happiness. A way that allows everyone the opportunity to witness the Almighty in the glory of the divinity within. One way that tells God that all else will be deemed flippant in comparison to my earnestness, for nothing else will do, no replacement is good enough, and in this way only God’s divine intervention will be acknowledged as reality. A way that tells the Almighty you will stop at nothing, and nothing will get in-between you and your love for the Almighty, including mind inclinations and relationships. Your determination in this fashion will not only benefit you immensely but it won’t give any counter reasons to doubt your spiritual earnestness, because your effort in a regular practice indicates your resolve, which in turn cultivates liberation.

The way is through the silent mind in meditation which takes place when all else is exhausted and you sit in silence, waiting. The ultimate and only natural escape. The way starts in formless meditation or surrendering all, being with the energy within, which merges into the Samadhi State the ultimate state of worship. This is as close as you can get to enlightenment before it happens, your natural state of being, which is before the mind. Your ability to stay in this silent state will reflect your earnestness, your continual show of devotion gives way to take me I’m ready to go with you, in spite of worldly attractions. This state of being is a Self merger within consciousness. In this thoughtless state you naturally surrender spiritual thoughts as well, prayers and all worldly religions are deemed useless, going nowhere, beyond perceiving and the perceived. In this state there is no longer any Karma, preconditions, religion, spirituality, universe, body, or mind, just you as One, waiting for the illusion to pass, so you can see and know the One in All. After loosing your anchor in the universe, you now understand what all the great ones were talking about, and the many ways they used to express this divine state of being. Your attachments are replaced by your love through the unconditional state in all, your identity now lies with God, which is your natural state of existing, and you talk and think according to “That”, because everything revolves around “That”.

I hope you can see that formless meditating and the “Samadhi state” is the purest form of worshiping, originally the words of Nisargadatta who said: The silent mind is the purest form of worship.

Entrainment

As explained in Wikipedia: this is the process whereby two interacting oscillating systems, which have different periods when they function independently, assume the same period. The two oscillators may fall into synchrony, but other phase relationships are also possible.

These phase relationships also work with people, their relationships, in groups, and the tighter the relationship the more in sync they become. Teams in sync can achieve more than the individual likewise in group meditations, it can be enhanced proportionally. The study of unstable groups and their viral behavior is recognized by researchers, I see it as a high intensity entrainment. Just from proximity and a willingness to surrender to the event seems to create all sorts of phase relationships whether it be good or bad. Enlightenment is the ultimate phase relationship.

During personal relationships we learn our partners cycle of happiness, setbacks, and activities, if we fall into a rhythm that coexists with those characteristics a comfort zone is achieved. It gives one a feeling of security, predictability, and chemistry. Both partners have to be open, and have a willingness to surrender and work within their weaknesses and strengths. The ability to become a good receiver is essential to the equation because an open mind is a flexible ingredient giving one the opportunity to grow and merge together. If the mind resists and fights for entitlement, then the synchronicity and subtle frequencies can’t fall into rhythm, growth stops. Being in sync with your partner is the most peaceful and harmonious relationship possible. Arguments will be a relic of the past, life seems almost surreal in the home, without any made up disturbances, your able to float around most of life’s setbacks. A powerful team that can’t be denied is a team that relies on no individual power. One heart beat, its efficient, its easier, its natural, its alert, its productive, and its the most harmonious way of living with your partner.

The great business teams or sporting teams know all of their weaknesses and strengths, come together to work on those weaknesses, enhance the positives, face the hardships together and surrender to the cause. Nothing can penetrate the focus of the team to create disharmony, they continue despite all that has transpired, outside heat won’t make them respond out of team character. Any relationships can have a bond like this which is shielded from outside influences so a balance is allowed to flourish within the union. A phase relationship forms from an easy synchronicity that fell naturally into place out of proximity and familiarity. Its all about success in an efficient manner, by allowing the entrainment to prosper within you’ll feel impenetrable or unstoppable due to the strong connections from within.

The same holds true with the Guru and disciple relationship, which allows peace to flow through the group, if one is a good receiver it leaves themselves open to subtle frequencies for peace which is noticeable and palatable. If the guru stops his or her mind and meditates with them, peace has a chance to radiate through the whole room and the aspirants fall into a deep meditation. If people are resistant, fighting within or fighting with the teacher then no surrendering can take place. But even that road block can fall for a second and the silent mind wins the moment. Surrendering can happen to the most stubborn minds, and it can turn them on a dime with an epiphany.

The Human Love

It sounds unusual but we as humans have an emotional love that is overwhelming and dependent on another. The majority of people think this is the real love, it is an extreme representation of love, however it’s human version is a conditional response. In the pure meaning of the word, love is not this, its simple and in a natural state is unconditional. The morphed conditioned version resulted from the ego laying claim “I” and “Mine,” which the mind confuses as love. And, true unconditional love is the love that the sages find through Self-realization, although they may still show signs of feelings that resemble I and mine, however it’s naturally extinguished in short order. Because in comparison to real love without boundaries, it wasn’t factual, it’s an intense drama in the theater of life. I know that I’m in the theater watching the drama unfold, like you would know you were in the movie theater, temporally caught up in the drama like an empath, but soon to file it away as a movie when going home. This type of detached love doesn’t sound like love but it is the highest form of love, which knows no boundaries and knows all is not lost. It may look distant like tough love, and won’t tally with the attached version of personal love that has needs, so it’ll be hardly noticeable and hard to understand. But it’s within one and all, this will be realized by good spirits in the afterlife, the equalizer, however for right now only the Realized or serious aspirant hot on the path will know. The purity in all of life can not be forgotten once Realized, this charade of plots and tragedies can be captivating and entertaining, even heart wrenching. That love which is purer and impossible to hurt is still unaffected, that’s hard for me not to forget. Only the ugly part dies and real love continues and is always there. Isn’t it nice to know that freedom from the ugly (the world, body and mind) is our final outcome and true love is our effortless existence. Real love doesn’t have boundaries or restrictions that the mind habitually uses, it sees no differences that are real and binding to natural love.

With None to Come

All those years of people in my line
Working hard on their dreams and die
Countless generations from one gene
But the train is running out of rail and steam

All those imprints, all those Souls
All the good and all the bad
All those miles of trials
All those pieces made me

They are the reason
They delivered me
Away from my blood
They made me see

I am their child
With none to come
Their last son on
The family tree

The last setting sun
The tree is done
The bud has bloomed
It all ends with me

I will end the code
Throw away the key
No more tears or cheers
I will happily set them free

For the line is done
But my day not gone
I will enjoy this last run
A complete life was meant to be

I’m honored by your sacrifice
Rest assured it was not in vain
Contentment dissolves the stain
Which delivers us from anymore pain

Prayer vs. Blessings

Everyone is familiar with prayer, and it’s one of the more popular attributes of today’s religions. Out of a sense of belonging we pick up ideologies, gather in groups and choose concepts that suit our ideology and needs to make us feel better. Unfortunately, this act usually boosts our ego so we can look down on others. When prayer should be humbling us in the face of the unknown outcomes but instead we personalize it. God is leveraged out in so many directions for personal use showing how good you are by proclaiming out loud, I will pray for you.

Prayer looses its power or purpose when judgment or personal needs surface in the process, which negate any value that comes from them. Selfless prayer quietly done in private is rare today, few understand the value of the humble servant. True selfless prayer does help in life, when it’s done with sincerity and in private, not waiting for a thank you. Passing on good thoughts with sincere empathy helps, and the best you can do in most situations, besides financially. Thoughts have a subtle power and although they may not change anything on the surface, but they can help you and help people deal with the tragedy on the inside.

My teacher used Blessings as a replacement to prayer, and I think its benefits helps all, the one who is blessing and the blessed, helps us to see things differently.

The idea behind blessings is that sometimes shit happens, and there’s not much you can do about it, besides sending good blessings their way, it will help them and yourself in dealing with this crisis.

I’ve added a few words to the blessings, but for the most part they are the words of Vethathiri Maharishi.

Picture the people in your mind and say silently and in private, “ you are blessed by God’s Divine power, you are blessed in all your activities day and night in all places. You will live a long life, good health, prosperity, happiness, wisdom and peace, by the grace of the Divine. Or a shorter version say: you are blessed by the Divine, as often as you think is necessary, and notice that it is done by the first person from the power within the Soul, instead of asking for an external favor from another source which shows a calculated misunderstanding of entitlement.

At the point of blessing picture the individual and deliver a white light engulfing the one you are helping. We forget about the Divine power that is within us, this reaffirms this fact, that we are the child of God, an extension of That, so we should act accordingly. It forces us to stop thinking of God as something external that we need to shore down and ask personal favors thereby neglecting the power within, and just inflating the ego.

Back it up with a global blessing:

“May the rains fall timely and sufficiently along all parts of the world, so that good grains, fruits, and vegetables grow abundantly to the satisfaction of all living beings, by the grace of the Divine.” “May the leaders of all nations enjoy spiritual progress and do good services for humanity.”

“The whole world may enjoy prosperity, happiness, wisdom and peace, by the grace of the Divine.”

Replacing prayer for blessings is an ego neutralizer.

Earnestness to Enlightenment

Earnestness leads to Enlightenment like it dose to any skill in life. The earnestness applies research, determination and practice when reaching for a goal. When most people think of enlightenment they think it’s too hard and unreachable, or it happens naturally without much effort. This is a confusing point for some, because of the nature of Self-realization is so elusive. It takes a state of total surrendering, everything you think you are has to be let go of in an undying earnestness. Everyone will have different time frames due to the varying degrees of imprints, issues and ideologies that stagnate growth. Nonetheless, by giving you an idea of how much earnestness is needed you get an idea for what it takes. You may have a similar experience in earnestness in life, that sustained desire to understand something or mastering a trade.

Enlightenment talk here is returning home to Eternity, and realizing your true identity first hand. You’re really going in full circle, back through the same direction and door from whence you came.

How much effort is necessary to realize your true identity? Well, how much effort do you need to become an expert at something like a trade, craft or profession. Do you play a sport or instrument with ease and without thinking, like the instrument was a pure extension of your intention, on a good day you fall into a zone naturally, and its as close to perfection as you can. To be able to get there takes plenty of earnestness, you find yourself effortlessly doing it without employing the mind. This is a state of “Witnessing” which is based in knowledge and matures with practice, produces your best performance. When you get extremely interested and determined to be good at something, you really can’t leave it alone until you master it. And, once you arrive at that easy stage of a master, then you’re so confident in your skill that it that happens naturally and spontaneously without thinking, never doubting your ability. Similarly, mastering the art of spirituality takes this type of seriousness until it becomes effortless and a natural part of your daily existence. Always working on yourself until you don’t know anything else, or any other way of living.

It’s a natural part of you, the zone can happen in anything you do good making it easy and effortless, especially in any sport. It’s like you take a step back inside and let the body do what it has been trained to do without mental interference, your natural instincts take control and mentally you loose track of time, personalities and your world. Not knowing what you did, in the end you find you dominated in every category.

Waiting for Enlightenment without making the effort just doesn’t work. Some will stumble around and get a spiritual experience through meltdowns, drugs, epiphanies, or near death experiences. These unusual circumstances do provide some help, however it doesn’t bring about the complete Self-realization that we’re looking for but it can help in keeping you on the path.. Nothing in life comes easy, as you know and this is no different, all the failures and successes on the path are a necessary part of the journey. Obviously no one can do that for you, so you have to find your own inner desire, your leader, your teacher, and let pure reasoning guide you through.

Spiritual contemplation and meditation seems to be the path for all. Introspection and meditating by surrendering control turns out to be the sincere earnestness that’s required. Waiting in thoughtlessness realm for the metaphorical door to open is the zone, the waiting room for all, and we all end up knocking at the same door. The Source has but one door, which is the door between consciousness and Awareness, all paths are unite here at the door, your persistence at remaining there, opens it. How much do you want it? Are you willing to sacrifice everything, including your personal life for that goal? If you are earnest and steadfast to your goal, it won’t take that long, but few will be, most will wander off, enticed by the world of senses. If you are 100% committed on all fronts, it will be similar to getting a degree, in about two to four years, after reaching your peak commitment.

The Witness State

The Witness is the thoughtless observer in us, a singular state of being a conscious observer, witnessing life without thinking is a type of active meditation. Actions and reactions can be there but not with forethought otherwise we would be out of the Witness State. Any thoughts rising during an active witness and inactive witness takes us away from living in the moment, thoughts are a departure from being in the moment.

The Soul’s first contact with the universe is through consciousness, the Soul is the eternal witness but we live in a thinking consciousness which makes it hard to master while living. Living in the moment in an active or inactive meditation is difficult because of the interfering mind takes you out of it.

Consciousness turns the witness into the doer.

Cultivating the pure Witness back through meditation slowly releases the binds that restrict it, an important step for the Spiritual Seeker.

Reclaiming that universal witness that exists in all living creatures, can be done during active times and inactive times. These different states of witnessing are both relatively hard to master, however worth the effort, the inactive Witness is the most important part of spirituality. Meditation techniques are geared towards different states of witnessing, and the experiences that follow are milestones on the spiritual path. Any activity in life can be done by remaining in the moment as the Witness, this is a good step in garnering control over the mind by keep falling back into the Witness, keeps redirecting mind away from thoughts is like doing reps. There are different types of mind decoys available for meditating, which help in keeping the mind targeted on witnessing something repetitious as you slip into deeper states. Many spiritual experiences happen within these different layers, but experiences in the “Samadhi State” are on a deeper level yet, it’s pure witnessing which can change your outlook. In all cases, besides the finale awakening, the experiences are an indication of transitional periods in spiritually, which can be good or even scary by loosing all control however surrendering to the unknown is the way.

The spiritual process through meditation delivers emotional stability and balance into your life, it can also help control the direction of your mind by constant redirection towards spiritual techniques or the Witness, strengthens control over the mind allowing you to find the advance stages of thoughtless meditating. The pure Witness of this basic formless life force (consciousness) within, is the last meditating stage before one slips into the “Samadhi State”, which is meld of the observer and observed. It can be a long process, depending on your determination, but keeping the mind in silent repose is the key cornerstone to Enlightenment or Self-realization. For then, there is no way to go but further in, now that the world and mind is rendered useless, discarded as the primary attention getter as you cast your moorings aside for a new focus on the Eternal God.

The Samadhi State

This is a state of being, in consciousness, is similar to your most natural state of existence when you were born, which means it’s a refection on your Eternal state of being. This state of being can be considered the waiting room before Self-realization. Your ability to spend some time here will be determined by your dedication, mind control, and surrendering powers. Mind strength is your ability to keep the mind in silent, surrendering the world and all your predispositions as a human is a huge part of staying there. To arrive in the Samadhi State takes a high level of surrendering, sincere earnestness, and a lot of practice, and the “Witnessing state” with eyes closed is difficult, but a necessary stage.

The characteristics of the Samadhi State are beyond meditation techniques, because most techniques are designed to get you to the witness state however taking the next step in is done by abandoning any techniques and internal links of the mind and body, all the thinking or doing is gone. In a transition zone your perceiving (Witnessing) nothing but consciousness, life force, or internal energy. This zone is more or less another waiting area, or stage before you slip into Samadhi, which is the merging or union of the perceiver and the perceived. Altogether, I see four levels or stages of spiritual progression: The Doer state, the Witness state (Active and Inactive), the Samadhi state, and the Eternal state.

Surrendering all concepts that are related to appearances and ideas of a separate God are part of the transitioning into this divine state. Letting go is releasing your grip, looking away from all personal and conditioned responses of the mind for one thoughtless and primordial state of being in consciousness. When sitting and waiting in the transition zone of formless meditating and witnessing the life force energy it produces an unnoticeable, feelingless merge between the states, before you know it you’re in Samadhi. When consciousness falls in sync with Awareness they sit as one in the Samadhi state, without movement or reason. This thoughtless state of being is characterized as a lost of perceiving of anything external or internal, nothing outside or inside of you is perceivable nor preventing you from just being like this. The Samadhi state is the supreme state of surrendering, and your ability to stay like this for extended periods, determines your ability for enlightenment, surrender and go with it, release the limited identity for the Eternal One. Eventually your fortitude and determination at acquiring this state of being when meditating will release you from your imaginary bondage, once liberated from the universe, death and afterlife, contentment in life will reign supreme.

This Samadhi state, which is the closest representation of your Eternal state of being while embodied will be last step you can take before Self-realization, the ultimate step will be beyond all. It’s almost like you’re spreading consciousness thinly until a tear in the fabric exposes the Eternal realm, our real Home.

Consciousness vs. Awareness

In a lot of spiritual books consciousness is divided into groups: The universal or super-consciousness, and regular consciousness. This idea of a change in consciousness happened when those experiencing the Source speak out, local consciousness is subject to changes, we have an unconscious state but super-consciousness doesn’t change. It’s eternal and Godly, so I call it Awareness.

I classify Awareness as God, Eternity, Soul, Absolute Space and Self, our Eternal identity. While local consciousnesses relationship to energy is in need of form to work with matter. Awareness of Being doesn’t have any byproducts of energy that forms need to exist. Consciousness is the child of Awareness, activated for a tour of duty, is a blessing in disguise.

Awareness’s first point of contact in the universe is in consciousness. Consciousness is a moving form of Awareness prone to external forces creating different states of existence however Awareness is always consistent without any opposing particles rendering it timeless.
The watcher is perceiving the flow of images through consciousness until it becomes Aware. Awareness can’t see the universe or even understand duality until birth. We need a linkup to another dimension to experience the universe of movement.

Spiritual experiences in consciousness are all over the charts, but the ultimate experience of Self-realization is the same for one and all, it happens in Awareness only, no moving visuals, no sounds, no forms, no color, no movement. Birth turns on the display of sensory enjoyment with the love affair with energy and the flow of opposites. Lost in the thrill of consciousness our Eternal identity is glossed over by this temporary heightened sense of existence, which is outside the norm.

Consciousness is a product of the universe, and consequently must stay in the universe after death here and in the afterlife. Awareness is in its own dimension of pure Space unaffected by the unfolding drama of its new attached organism. Awareness is the most subtle form of consciousness, comprised of Stillness the common denominator in all things, the foundation behind all movement. It seems like Awareness radiated consciousness causing a spreading wave or “Akasha field” of energy seeping out creating the universal expansion we see today. And, even though this subtle movement eventually turned into the universe, it is still a reflection of Awareness and not the real You.

You are the still Source that supports the universe, all that appears in the universe is linked to that solid background, it’s an imperfect link or an imperfect reflection of You. You are perfect at the core and a crucial piece in the puzzle of life and Eternity. Just by existing in your true identity is the best you can do, because by not identifying with this mass of vapors parading around as reality you turn into a beacon of truth for Awareness. Once your Soul gets a sobering look at Reality it washes away all the false notions.

Peaceful Pauses

Everyday in our normal working lives we are faced with many opportunities to work on spiritual development, but we usually waste it on unproductive mind chatter and phone stuff. Why not put this time to good use, it really doesn’t matter how little the time is, because in establishing a new mental pattern it all begins with these wasted moments. Why let the mind control you and take you to places that don’t have any meaning or places you don’t want to go, eventually adding weight to your back. When we take a close look at our internal dialogue, beyond our duties and normal reactions, most of it is completely useless, this technique is designed for that and can cultivate stability and mind control just by checking in. You can work on these moments to advance yourself spiritually, strengthen your mind and concentration.

No matter how busy our day is we experience down time and gaps in-between places which can become mentally and spiritually productive. So many times we are caught between appointments and destinations, and it seems like a big part of life is wasting time, most of the time we fill it up with mental gossip, desires, fears, and worries. Why do we let bad thought and behavior take control with meaningless banter when we can infuse deeper spiritual insights to start imposing productive thoughts that help in mind control.

Practice these pauses can also be done with the eyes open, whether in front of the computer, TV, reading, or any number of ways. I was able to find many ways throughout the day with no need for posture. When it’s down time why not do it? Why entertain all this childish mind stuff that just provides more issues. Under the radar you can meditate any time any place. You can check into the body energies for short pauses throughout the hectic day, give you a sense of peace during trying moments.

Conquering negative thoughts by superimposing a spiritual dialogue or personal positive experience is a technique that works but harder than the pauses. Any form of real mind control boils down to energy. Practicing meditation is the keystone to this technique because it lowers the volume during your check in pauses.

When an unwanted thought rises it triggers distinct energy pattern that can even start before the thought which you can feel. It’s your trigger mechanism to act. That ugly energy of a bad thought is perceivable. You have to be able to feel the change inside and turn away before it triggers chaotic energy that takes more time to relax and move from. It can be mastered when you catch it early, it makes it easy to turn away from it. The strong chaotic energy can even be heard and felt in a humming vibration during a quiet meditation. The goal is to place your attention in the middle of the chaotic energy and sit there observing it to calm it down. Just observing without thinking the energy has no direction and dissipates. Catch it quickly it can be extinguished quickly.

The technique in the beginning is withdrawing your attention away from the thought by focusing your attention on inside the energies, like your sitting your concentration in the middle of the flow and just witnessing the energy, it will consequently spread out and dissipate. By the mere act of observing energy means you are the thoughtless observer then the energy looses its directional and flounders. This type of catch and release means everything to your peace and happiness. Also the benefits are extremely important in the Afterlife.
